I like your salt idea! Salt *is* a good secret ingredient for making sweet stuff taste even better. I have some of that fancy flaked salt that might be good just sprinkled on top. Super "gourmet" fudge! 😁

To make Carmel take a can of the sweet condensed milk put in pan covered with water and cook for 2 hrs.do not open milk first. After time Let cool first before opening..best Carmel ever....

I pour mine into a glass bowl and add pecans. Mix up and if you let it cool too much, put in microwave for 30 seconds intervals. I pour into a Graham cracker pie crust that I buy at the store. Cook according to directions on package. (Make sure to cook the Graham cracker crust while the cans are boiling away to give it time to cool down prior to pouring the filling into the pie crust.) Leave on counter covered after serving. Don't put in fridge. It will get too hard. I serve mine with cool whip. This is such a simple recipe and it's super easy.

You need vanilla a teaspoon. After it's done with microwave it's called microwave one bowl fudge, or 1 minute fudge. But hey that sea salts a great idea you can also add marshmallows at that time and pecans and make Rocky road fudge or at the same time you could do peanut butter or toffee mix it up.
I would suggest maybe using some Bailey's and cream and adding some walnuts. Another suggestion would be to not add the walnuts and I would put in peppermint extract to add more flavor. I would also put it in the freezer and line it with wax paper sprayed with cooking spray.

I’ve made this fudge and I do good chocolate chips semi sweet just like you and the same amount of sugar or cream sugar is in a smaller size and everybody loves it it’s the best kept secret the better the chocolate I think the better the fudge.
I found that if using a bag of semi sweet chips, remove a scant 1/4 cup of the sweetened condensed milk. Sets quicker and firmer and not as sticky. I found the full can to be too much.

I have a 2 ingredient microwave peanutbutter fudge recipe our family has used for yrs & handed down for generations. Take a block of Bakers white almond bark (broke down into its squares) & dump an equal size (ounce) jar of your favorite peanutbutter (creamy or chunky) over top of it (also in a microwave safe bowl). Microwave on medium for 5 mins. Stir until well blended. If any chunks left, nuke on medium for 30 seconds at a time until completely melted. Pour into pan (also usually an 8x8 - & I also line w/ foil to lift out of pan easier). Cut into 1/2 inch squares. I promise - it will disappear fast!!! My family gets mad If I dont make this every year😅. I have been looking for an easy, yet delicious fudge recipe - so I am going to try yours this year!👍
I find it easier to melt the chocolate first, right in the tray you wish to serve it in, on a double boiler. After that just add the SC milk and instant fudge is formed.....you will need to have enough strength though, to churn the tough mixture into a uniform shape. After that, just chill, cut into desired sizes and eat !

Karen it wouldn’t be soft like a frosting once it cooled. It would kind of be like the hardened chocolate icing on little Debbie cakes or hostess donuts I would think. And you’d have to spread it quick but I bet it be good.

Stove method is easier in my opinion. Pour milk in pan(nonstick) add chocolate chips & heat on low. Pour in prepared pan.

a mess and it's a lot easier.

Karen it wouldn’t be soft like a frosting once it cooled. It would kind of be like the hardened chocolate icing on little Debbie cakes or hostess donuts I would think. And you’d have to spread it quick but I bet it be good.
