I'm sure you're right. There will become good bands, even unique bands, but... never be same, and maybe never be close than the Van Halen was in the history. That special "mood" what the Van Halen gave: unrepeatable. In my opinion.
Vh how can you not love em, at the same time, they were and are still humans. 2 b a lifelong fan of them is kinda hard....later on down the road vh fuck....tour they were embarrassing. Got to wonder if Neil peart...could whale harder than Alex, they both play a huge kit...I dig em both, but my bet is neil played a ton of shows sober as with Alex it's a different tale, but besides that hot 4 teacher drum work is brilliant
I do not understand how any living soul on the planet Earth could witness this and say that Van Halen with Sammy did not kick some serious ass. This is about as amazing as it gets people! And to those that say that Van Halen with Sammy was all Pop/Love songs, come on, no band can be full throttle all of the time. This is proof that Sammy had what it took to be a full fledged member of Van Halen. He paid his dues just like they all did. Be open minded, but most importantly, be fair!
There studio material didn't quite measure up. Live though Sammy was every bit as good as Dave and was actually more consistent. I don't think Sammy EVER had a bad live show when he was with Van Halen.
David lee roth never sang. He was a front man a typical 80's flashy front man. HAGGAR was all that but BETTER THAN ROBERT PLANT vocal wise. Plus he played guitar like crazy. To me theres only 1 van halen and it's the haggar years. Before that it was a ''cover band era type thing'' they really came ALIVE with haggar in the band. On top of which they broke all previous records with him too.
GNFAN1987 I saw them 4 times. Once with Dave (1984) and three times with Sammy. 5150, OU812, Right Here Right Now. VH with Sammy was way way better live!
Man, I smile the entire time this song plays... my dad would blare this album in the truck when we would go camping. 3 hour drives every weekend, with AC/DC, Van Halen, and Pat Benatar's live album that he bought me for Christmas.... good times. This song takes me back to my favorite memories with my family. Fuck I miss it.
Dad's kno music..my dad is 57 still kickin but 29 years in the coal mines now retired on social security..broke down in the back arm was shattered and now 4th stage black lung.
This is as good as VanHalen at any time in their exsistence ever was. This time period right here is when the planets aligned and all four together were just an amazing band.
EVH has unmistakable tone; perfection live...it’s almost impossible to ever see him bonk a note. Perfect transitions back from half and full note bends and tremolo cranks to the start note. Between he and Sammy, it was hard for me to believe this wasn’t the studio version overdubbed. Perfection
make no mistake, this is not live audio. van halen pioneered special touched up live recordings. here is live in case you are stupidly believing th-cam.com/video/SaPDrZaX9ww/w-d-xo.html
They were both great, I really love both eras of VH. Both guys were right where they needed to be. But, if I was told I could only have ONE VH album for the rest of my life, it would be Fair Warning. Sorry Sammy.
Sammy has more voice in his left pinky toe than DLR has in his whole body. This is a banger and probably my top 5 Van Halen tunes. It just so happens my favorite top 20 songs are all in the Van Hagar era? Go figure?
It’s amazing how this song really brings out eddies tone compared to all of Van Halen tunes. and this song is not even that popular compared to looking at ALL of Van Halen from 72 to 95 :)
This is by far the greatest Van Halen song ever! Been in my CD player in my truck for about 7 years now! This song is my life's anthem! Thank you Eddie you will be greatly missed. You were the greatest guitarist that ever walked this earth or ever will! Say hello to my brother in heaven! RIP
Bro the other day I played this song in my car forgot I had all the system install just crank the shit of my stereo I was pump to work that day 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼😂😂😂
@julio bello the return of Andy Johns changed everything on this album. Andy was such a genius. This was by far the best sounding album they ever did with Sammy. Alex's drum sound was sick! EvH tone was insane! Michael Anthony was such a gift to all of VH's music. A great, great singer and bassist. Sammy is top 5 singers of all time.
God, I miss Eddie. Was there when the first album came out. What a gift to be on this planet as a teenager & be exposed to such an amazing musician. A chunk of my soul that I'll never get back. He had sooooo much feel in his playing ! RIP
+zack19862008 Definetly... I seen them way back in 80s with Dave when he was still a vocal freak of nature eddie blistering playing Then Sammy and his vocal high caliber chops with eddie still blistering chops.. Even today Eddie is on fire.. vocally Dave is far from his old days and sam is old.. but still can romp
I always wonder if people truly understand just how good they sound here and how incredibly tight they are. Ive seen VH 7 times all era's. And, like, 100 orher concerts over the years going back to 1978. This is so next level its actually ridiculous!! Eds sound and tone here combined with his play is why he is so much better than everybody or anybody. Its really not even close people. Ed is on his own level by himself, completely aloan people.
I absolutely agree with you 100% bro Edward Van Halen is a once in a generation musician there may be somebody to come along someday but I can say I witnessed Edward Van Halen from the beginning to the end just like some people say I witness Jimi Hendrix but I think Edward Van Halen was better than Jimi Hendrix Jimmy didn’t live long enough and all the albums ever Van Halen put out all freaking great except for the one with Sharon I try to listen to it but I couldn’t
Awesome to hear Edward !! I don't care what song it may or may not sound like. It's hearing Edward's genius!! He , individually, needs to be inducted into the rock and roll fame. If they indunt Randy Rhodes, Edward is a no brainer.
I remember this concert. Evansville Indiana. Cold freakin March day. Froze my ass waiting for doors to open. Got in, ran straight to security fence in front of where Eddie would be. Got through the opening band Baby Animals, then had my religious experience of being that close to watching Eddie the whole time. Still get chills remembering watching Eddie doing his solo. A black light cannon shining down from above, then strobe lights. Looked as if he was levitating above me. Amazing concert. Sammy, Michael, Alex, and Eddie had their shit together like no other. Dave's not here. Dave Who?
I agree, nobody's better. I love David and Sammy, both brought a different flavor to Van !Halen. Fantastic group of guys playing and singing their best. I never get tired watching and listening to them. So sad it's all over now, but we all share our Love together with big hearts and wonderful memories ! Thanks Hazardteam for the links !!! 😁😎
*I* agree brother. I love both singers, they both made my life better, and brighter with their styles, with their unique "flavor" as you said. And both guy *IS* unbreakable columns of the Van Halen, and the unforgettable legacy, what this name means: *Van Halen* Rest in peace Eddie, see you soon brother. And for you Mr. HISS: With *very* pleasure! I can recommend the whole concert video with good heart, if you wanna hear this with better sound quality. I made that later, worked on the remaster for 2 months and i can say: That's soun's better (the video quality is not.. i had zero knowledge about the video editing/color grading etc in those years unfortunately, sadly just learned after...)
The genius of Eddie Van Halen is that he composes such masterful riffs and solos almost in a classical style, but he seemingly composes them on the fly like it's nothin'
All I can think of when I watch this video over and over again is how you can hear the crowd throughout the entire song! The energy of this song is UNREAL!!!
This, Source of Infection, AFU Naturally Wired, Get Up, On Fire and Light Up The Sky are their heavier songs. Thanks so much Mr. EVH, you are the best. RIP Maestro! Rock the heavens!! \m/
Everyone out there, pray for Eddie’s health. The world is a better place with him in it. He’s given us great music over the years. He needs us now. Please pray for him. We can’t lose him. The Mighty Van Halen forever! 🎸🤘🏽
It will take many centuries for this sound to ever be surpassed .... and I fear it will never be surpassed ... this is the best of the Best! 'Altijd blijven doorfietsen!' like Eddie said once! R.I.P.
The band is just cookin' here! And this is right before Eddie's health troubles began and things would never quite be the same again. He was just so damn creative and wrote so many legendary songs that it's hard to even fathom. Miss ya every day, Ed.
Ahhhh.... Back when VH (van halen or Van Hagar)... Were the best band on the planet... I saw them live three times on Sammy's watch, and man, they were bad ass live, just as this video proves... Too bad the RR and Eddie couldn't get along... Imagine what they could be puttin' on these days...
There was Van Halen Mach 1 and then there was Mach 2. Powerhouse. Boom. Powerful. He did it 78 and he did it on this tour....I loved the tone on this tour. You wrote so many great songs with both Dave amd Sammy. RIP Eddie....the GOAT for me.
I agree totally about Sammy, and this is the perfect reason why VH was the greatest band in the world 🌎 plus having "KING EDDIE" playing what sounds like 3 guitar 🎸 players at once.... LONG LIVE EDDIE VAN HALEN
Still listening to the master today even . So hard to believe that he's gone. Best Van Halen concert ever . Having seen them they were to everything here. Rip Eddie
In high school I had a chance to go to the concert for this album. I didn’t, because I didn’t think my parents would let me. My friends told me it was epic...and that when Eddie did his intro to this song it vibrated your whole body. Always regretted that one.
When this tour came through Tacoma I went. It was my first show. I remember like yesterday. Nothing better that this live. I could not believe my eyes and ears. This was 1991 or 1992.

I wish they had like three more heavy numbers like this on FUCK instead it got all bluesy riffed out shit like man on a mission and in and out. This is one of the best Hagar era tunes no doubt.
This tops it all. There will never be a band like Van Halen.
I'm sure you're right. There will become good bands, even unique bands, but... never be same, and maybe never be close than the Van Halen was in the history. That special "mood" what the Van Halen gave: unrepeatable. In my opinion.
Absolutely agree the Greatest Band Van Halen....
Never ever!!😉
On this tour they were firing on all cylinders , best band ever
Vh how can you not love em, at the same time, they were and are still humans. 2 b a lifelong fan of them is kinda hard....later on down the road vh fuck....tour they were embarrassing. Sammy challenged ed way more musically than roth
R.I.P. Eddie Van Halen. Absolute legend, master and innovator. 🙏🏼
Nice story👍🏴🎸
I like your father already. I used to do the same😂😂
Dad's kno music..my dad is 57 still kickin but 29 years in the coal mines now retired on social security..broke down in the back arm was shattered and now 4th stage black lung.
Time to start your own family and create those same memories. Dad's create memories that are designed to be passed down. 😉
This is as good as VanHalen at any time in their exsistence ever was. This time period right here is when the planets aligned and all four together were just an amazing band.
Yes!
Well let's be real buddy, this and the Fair Warning Tour
agree!
They were a Machine at this particular time...
This is a true rocker. Bass line is driving this song and Sammy is kicking it's ass. What a ripper.
I'm always amazed at Michael Anthony's talent.
EVH has unmistakable tone; perfection live...it’s almost impossible to ever see him bonk a note. Perfect transitions back from half and full note bends and tremolo cranks to the start note. Between he and Sammy, it was hard for me to believe this wasn’t the studio version overdubbed. Perfection
yes and he does that while jumping around head banging.
Eddie makes it look so easy...
Agreed
Agree
make no mistake, this is not live audio. van halen pioneered special touched up live recordings. here is live in case you are stupidly believing th-cam.com/video/SaPDrZaX9ww/w-d-xo.html
This is the perfect reason why Sammy is the best VH singer!
No contest
i agree...
just not the best frontman
They were both great, I really love both eras of VH. Both guys were right where they needed to be.
But, if I was told I could only have ONE VH album for the rest of my life, it would be Fair Warning.
Sorry Sammy.
Sammy has more voice in his left pinky toe than DLR has in his whole body. This is a banger and probably my top 5 Van Halen tunes.
It just so happens my favorite top 20 songs are all in the Van Hagar era? Go figure?
This is even better than recorded. Full of energy and heavy as balls.
a lot of guys don't like the tone eddie got in later years but i think this tone smokes!
His tone was awesome here. Better in 95.
It's thicc
The overdrive is amazing it’s the flanger of phaser I personally don’t like. Similar to Zakk Wilde’s tone lol 🤢🤮
It’s amazing how this song really brings out eddies tone compared to all of Van Halen tunes. and this song is not even that popular compared to looking at ALL of Van Halen from 72 to 95 :)
Epic sound
This is by far the greatest Van Halen song ever! Been in my CD player in my truck for about 7 years now! This song is my life's anthem! Thank you Eddie you will be greatly missed. You were the greatest guitarist that ever walked this earth or ever will! Say hello to my brother in heaven! RIP
I like Dreams

That intro. Holy shit.
Truly one of the best.
That sound is HUGE. Goosebumps.
Van Halen at their absolute best! Sammy, Alex, Michael, & Eddie
3:02 eddie dancing is the most clear demostration of his feelings about the music.
Love u men, u always be in my heart eddie!
When I think of Eddie Van Halen in motion that is the moment that comes to mind, every time. Dude's just loving his life up there. lol
God, I miss Eddie. Was there when the first album came out. What a gift to be on this planet as a teenager & be exposed to such an amazing musician. A chunk of my soul that I'll never get back. He had sooooo much feel in his playing ! RIP
this is one of the best things i've ever seen musically...
Eddie looks soo happy here....😊😊❤❤
One of my favorite song..
Thanks Eddie..
Really devastated here..💔💔💔
Can you imagine seeing these guys live at the height of their power?! Jesus!
yep, I did. 4 times in Seattle. They rocked!
+zack19862008 Definetly... It was Effing Awesome
Best era of VH was this period right here!!
Van Hagar Forever!!!!!!

They were perfection....Eddie was a crazy perfecionist....On another level ....
WOW. Energy. Melody. Killer riffs. Soaring vocals. Thundering back beat. Perfection.
Awesome to hear Edward !! I don't care what song it may or may not sound like. It's hearing Edward's genius!! He , individually, needs to be inducted into the rock and roll fame. If they indunt Randy Rhodes, Edward is a no brainer.
Best live concert tour Van Halen ever had, or ever will.
This sounded amazing live holy crap

Eddie's smile rocks!!! It is complementary to his guitar and hands!!! I miss you Eddie!!!
The genius of Eddie Van Halen is that he composes such masterful riffs and solos almost in a classical style, but he seemingly composes them on the fly like it's nothin'
This was a return to form for Van Halen and I love every second of it.
King Edward as he’s been rightfully crowned but got tam Michael Anthony is honestly the glue to the sonic structure of vh 4:04 kills me everytime
All I can think of when I watch this video over and over again is how you can hear the crowd throughout the entire song! The energy of this song is UNREAL!!!
one of my favorite songs of all time
RIP to one of the greatest rock guitarists EVER! Your energy will be missed. Keep riding that axe in the afterlife brother!!
Man you took about hitting on all cylinders That's incredible I never get sick of watching that
Powerful. No more words.
One of my favorite driving songs ever. Love this band man!! Legends!
Van Halen was always the best band no matter if it was Roth or Hagar!
That moment at 2:40 when EVH gets ready to take his stance for an epic solo was one of the single most inspirational things when I first saw it!
Beautiful performance!
This, Source of Infection, AFU Naturally Wired, Get Up, On Fire and Light Up The Sky are their heavier songs.
Thanks so much Mr. EVH, you are the best. RIP Maestro! Rock the heavens!! \m/
You know your VH, brother !
Right there with ya!

Favorite song from that album!
at the top of their game here,,,,,Eddie and Sammy were really together the whole show,,,,,Miss this kind of musicianship ......RIP Eddie...
The band is just cookin' here! And this is right before Eddie's health troubles began and things would never quite be the same again. He was just so damn creative and wrote so many legendary songs that it's hard to even fathom.

Ahhhh.... Back when VH (van halen or Van Hagar)... Were the best band on the planet... I saw them live three times on Sammy's watch, and man, they were bad ass live, just as this video proves... Too bad the RR and Eddie couldn't get along... Imagine what they could be puttin' on these days...
Eddie's tone, farken HUGE!
The pinnacle of this planet!!!!!
Hagar is an incredibly great singer, wow. I've always been loving him ....
The best line up forever. The best 4 pc band world ever produce. RIP Eddy.
They were at the top of their game in these years. All of them.
最高やー アルバム腐るほど聴いたな
I agree totally about Sammy, and this is the perfect reason why VH was the greatest band in the world 🌎 plus having "KING EDDIE" playing what sounds like 3 guitar 🎸 players at once.... LONG LIVE EDDIE VAN HALEN
Still listening to the master today even . So hard to believe that he's gone. Best Van Halen concert ever . Having seen them they were to everything here. Rip Eddie
Mr.Edward Van Halen!! Unreal!!
Absolutely amazing song. EVH was magical.
In high school I had a chance to go to the concert for this album. I didn’t, because I didn’t think my parents would let me. My friends told me it was epic...and that when Eddie did his intro to this song it vibrated your whole body. Always regretted that one.
Oh god this is simply delicious. Immortal Eddie van halen .
Probably my favorite, if not, one of TOP 3 favorite from Van Halen, definitely my favorite with the "Red Rocker" at the Mic.
Just watchin .... again, like 583 times later...... what else from VH you need? ... sublime, highest level rocknfknroll.
R.I.P. Eddie one of the greatest of all time master ,rock god Van Halen cannot be duplicated or imitated
Best band on the planet by far at that time, maybe even all time and I love old V.H saw them many times but gezzz it’s hard to be better than this.
WOW Top of their game. And no drunk and not high. This is the tightest Live VH clip ever seen.
This is perfection!
Geez, this song was ahead of its time!!!
Playing piano in his Guitar looks unique...jiji Masterfull.. This Song takes you to Mars and beyond...👽💥👍
It is a band masterpiece.. It is like Rock´n`Roll by L Z. It is electrical in all positive ways!!!

_"however nothing can replace this moment in history"_ - True
Very amazing!!!! It's one of the best songs of the 90's with no shadow of doubt.

0:57 - That tasty improvisation
So hard to believe all of this is gone!!!
at the 2:50 mark.... sheesh...what a legend. Underrated VH track.
Its difficult to believe this is only One guitar ..... 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
This is amazing
This band was COMPLETE in this configuration. NOBODY was the weak link. It's just all the way around awesome. I love the DLR era and so many of those great songs too......but when-ever anyone asks me why I never went to see the reunion with Dave......this is why. You just can't go back to sub-standard Vocals and honestly a band that just wasn't as good after I'd seen it like this. It would only serve to RUIN my great memories of those earlier Van Halen tours with Dave back when I didn't know what this could sound like.
Yeah it’s good that Dave didnt get paid by the amount of lyrics he could actually remember lol.
Nashville - 1993
Best concert I’ve ever watched.
😎
Live! A match made in Heaven!! Un F&*$%#!@ believable. Art, in the form of music, taken to the heights of Mount Olympus.

Alex is absolutely shredding that hi-hat.
I am a VH fan from the first time on .. an this is one of the best VH blaster ever .. Sammy was an is will be a good singer
I wish they had like three more heavy numbers like this on FUCK instead it got all bluesy riffed out shit like man on a mission and in and out. This is one of the best Hagar era tunes no doubt.
+jmgmarcus Well said! I agree.
These guys are sounding completely awesome here. God this is good. Just rocks. Pure and simple.
Best Van Halen song, best Eddie Van Halen guitar solo
i agree with best song, its in my top 10 but not the guitar solo
