I listened to this video almost every day for 2 months then after 1 year I tried to find it again and couldn't. I thought this had been taken down but I kept trying to search for it and scrolled my entire like history. Today it was in the feed! The prominent piano makes this the superior version
Yeah. Phil Spector.. The only real mistake the Beatles ever made. The other solo work produced by Spector (on Lennon’s and Harrison’s records) wasn’t as bad. Or good in spite of him, not because.
Phil was a genius with his "wall of sound' but it did not suit The Beatles. I will not praise him for anything other than music as he is despicable in my opinion.
Hi, where did you get this version from? I've found it at "Imagine - The Ultimate Collection" as "Jealous Guy (Take 11 / Raw Studio Mix)" but the sound there is quite different. The piano sounds somewhat quieter. I've been searching trough internet and Spotify and this video was the only one I found with this version of the song.
Great version of this beautiful song. It wasn't necessary to add the whistling from another recording, that part sounds a little dirty due to editing. The original take from the anthology has no whistling and it's really cool.
Nicky Hopkins piano is, by itself, a complete and utterly beautiful song

Love the "de-Spetorized versions of all Lennon and Beatles songs......Thanks!

Gemius.
Tanks man...John forever !
This is one song where Spector brought something good and essential.
The Harmonium, Vibraphone and strings really brought some hauntingness to the song as well as Nicky Hopkins' beautiful piano playing
