We have a couple cat cafes here in Seattle and they're amaaazing!
Why not? The dogs have all the privilege. Doggie cafes, hotels, spas and boutiques. The kittens have been left behind!

The water in NYC is super clean. Some of the best in the country. No need to buy bottled next time you're there :)

environmental fun fact! new york city drinking water is actually known worldwide as some of the cleanest water (: we get our water from protected upstate reservoirs lol that's why it tastes so amazing
That’s true about the New York City water, because it’s from a pristine reservoir upstate New York, but it depends what pipes the water flows through… If the pipes are old or have heavy metals, then that ruins the water quality.
Best tasting water. We get excited every time we visit because we get to drink the water. Lol

Lauren, it was so great meeting you at the Philly meet-up. Really fun to watch you go to V Street and the Tasty. Hope you got a donut at the Tasty- best ones I've ever had (way better than Dottie's!). Next time you're in town I'd recommend Front Street Cafe, New Harmony, and Memphis Taproom but there are sooo many places here. We have it good!

Theres two good vegan dim sum places. The Original Buddha Bodai (5 Mott St) and Bodhi Vegetarian (77 Mulberry). The original one isn't as great as Bodhi. Also, they used to have have like they exact same name "Buddha Bodai", but were never affiliated. Also, we have some of the best water. It is absolutely safe to drink.
Sasha Shvarts I looked on their menu, are the items with “veg” the vegan items? Because the only things I see marked as “vegan “ are their sushi. I’m going to nyc soon and I’d love to try this place but I want to be sure which items are vegan cx
I'm so happy you went to Nashville! Im from STL and my boyfriend and I drove there to try Wild Cow a couple weeks ago. One day STL will bump up their vegan scene.

Omg you came to Nashville! I live like 30 mins south of Nashville and I'm way too lazy to go all the way to East Nashville to eat... Traffic is horrible! 😭 you should've tried Succulent Vegan Tacos they have amazing authentic Mexican food! But they are only open certain days at the Nashville Fairgrounds...

I’m also surprised the pho place messed up considering there are a lot of vegetarian Vietnamese restaurants in the US (where there are VN communities) and even many vegetarian restaurants in Vietnam. (There’s also vegetarian fish sauce!)

Traditionally, dim sum’s usually a morning/brunch type of food, which probably explains why there aren’t many that are open late.

So glad you loved V Street. The owners of that restaurant also own Wiz Kid and Vedge. If you’re feeling like a fancy dinner 10/10 would recommend Vedge. The complex flavors they achieve in their dishes just blow my mind.
My dad is from Philly and V Street is one of the best veg restaurants in the city!

NYC has the best tap water ever! Tastes amazing. Heads up next time you’re there you don’t have to buy a 5$ hotel water.

Next time you're in Vancouver, Sun Bo Kong has amazing vegan dim sum. I was never a dim sum fan before going vegan but Sun Bo Kong changed that. Make sure to order the BBQ pork buns and taro dumplings.
Ahhh. You went to the tasty! I live in south philly. That cute little place is fooled from the outside! They have amazing food! Highly suggest if you live in philly.

Ahh I went to an all-vegan dimsum place in Chinatown New York, and their dim sum was amazing!! Their fried taro dumplings were to die for. It's called Buddha Bodai and it was on Mulberry St. There's 2 with the same name lol, but they're not affiliated with each other.

Oh my god that is always what happens when my girlfriend and I go to Dim Sum, we end up ordering tons of food for just the two of us! (But I love the dim sum place near me)
FYI next time your in Philly, I recc. Hip City Veg, Blackbird Pizza, and Dotties Donuts for fast food. And you MUST absolutely try Vedge for fine dining.
My one and only visit to The Tasty was very under welcoming and disappointing, so whoever recommended it to you is seriously suffering from a taste bud deficiency!
omg lauren, chickpeas have been making me soo gassy lately. like out of nowhere they started to do that to me it's so weird. won't stop eating them though hehehe
It does the same to me too! Hummus usually doesn't cause it for me, but if I have them whole in a salad or roasted as a snack it gives me the weirdest stomach ache.

I'm not sure if it's the case in America, but Coyo yoghurt products have been recalled because they contained undeclared milk ingredients in the UK...

GURL. I have totally been in a similar situation while dining out at a delicious Thai food restaurant here in Seattle. I always have to ask for no fish sauce, or at least ask if the dish comes with it and sub soy sauce instead, however prettyyy sure I've accidentally eaten fish or dairy in their peanut sauce. One server told me there was no fish sauce in it and the next time I went I asked again and sure enough, fish sauce in the peanut sauce. I get that it's a traditional ingredient in, like, all legit thai food but I'm so traumatized. I feel for you. Your bowl of pho looked really bomb though.

Is it terrible that I don’t look for vitamin d in foods that I buy? I check for the main things, meat, eggs, dairy, and gelatin. I don’t bother with the vitamins. Maybe that’s bad of me but I wouldn’t be able to eat anything if I did that! And hey I’m doing more than most people!
