very nice, personally i would’ve preheated the engine, out carb back to factory settings, and let the engine idle for a minute before revving. then tune from there for more smoother low end and higher top end
It's a novarossi .21, they have great parts support but I don't know if their current listed piston sleeve kits match the late 90s models, don't have the part # committed to memory.
Did you put after run oil in it before shelving it, and if so, what kind? I used hobbico's with mine, and the engines were sludged up after only 12 years in storage, wouldn't start.
after run oil is a myth so you buy these stupid tiny bottle with liquid gold to prevent engine sludging, seizing and rust.. most engines sludge up, seize and rust AFTER run oil. use DW40 or engine transmission fluid OR even better use 2 stroke oil like i do. every after run oil i have tryed (and ive tried almost all of them) leave a sticky substance as if it came from the factory like new, but it isnt new.. after run oil mixes with burnt fuel, nitro and other by products that where produced in the combustion cycle but doesn't break it down, it 'seals' them. and so what happens is, this stupid little bottle of gold makes it worse. WD40 is a water displacement not a lube, it is also an oil thinner, so what happens is, your engine wont seize or sludge up however it is NOT a protection against rust. 2 stroke oil is an alround great performing 'after run' oil, it keeps the engine healthy and clean, prevents most rust, the downside is that the next startup after storage can take a little longer but it usually fires up without hiccups.
I ran the fuel out and put this stuff called duralube in the engine...then a sealed ziplock bag and stuck it in the closet. Looked just like the day, I put it there lol I put fresh fuel down the carb and let it started up 👍
That is not a serpent vector, but a serpent excel spec 95!.
Serpent king of RC, what a memory
