The Shock Absorbers are a key component for performance and consistency! Building shocks can be tedious, here I show you my method to build the Serpent 989 Viper shocks including how I set the rebound.
Garvin granderson Thankyou, the SRX8 has a slightly different shock cap, so instead of sliding the membrane on, you install in the shock cap first and screw on slowly to allow the oil out the bleed hole 👍
serpent membrane sucks... too thin and flimsy ... use mugen seiki mrx6 membrane... more sturdy... give it a try... and I use my droop to set my shock length..
Thank you Jeff, very useful as all the previous videos
Perfect Job, clear and simple for everyone!!!
Wow , Very nice Mr Hammon
Mega video man keep it up👌
Got a lot out of that - great tips!
Hi Jeff,great info.
Question, would this method also apply to the SRX8GT?

Increase oil weight in front and rear what happen to 989 please ?

I have tried the other membrane, the shape is more rounded and gives too much rebound for my liking.. However whatever works for you 😊
