The reasons I like Talim; -Her unique, fast, combo-versatile moveset. -Her shaman-like background resonating with some tribal aspects of my ancestry. -Her cute and optimistic never-back-down attitude. -At the time I was originally introduced to Soul Calibur, she was the same age as me, so I kinda developed a crush. I partially blame that she was one of the female characters with the most reasonable proportions and her attire wasn't on the most modest side.
What I like about Talim is that her backstory represents our history well. I like her as being a babaylan (priestess in English) and her character. I'm not really surprised that she's small although I'm also a Filipina around her age because its history. I also do like her better than Josie.
Hehe I just say you got a minority (of aholes) to first reply to you. For me Talim not being in 5 was one of its many problems (its story and most new characters being the worst). And for 6 Talim or no Talim is almost seriously the selling point.
She's not my favorite, but i REALLY like Talim as a character, she's one of the sweetest girls i've ever met in fiction and that's why she's one of my favorite characters in the series, she is one of the lights the soul series has, and her not being in SCV is pretty awkward to say the least. And also i want my favorite SC character to be next Kilik.
When I first picked up Soul Calibur 2 on the gamecube. I was like "Oooooh, this Link guy is cool!", "OOOOOHH! this Nightmare guy is really cool!", "Oh. This person is nice, I bet she isn't very go- WOW she's amazing! You're my favourite but if things get too tough I'm switching to Nightmare" and that is the gist of why I like Talim.
Talim was extremely fun to play with when she had ring out throws an an effective silent-step. The youth aspect was more novelty for me and I was curious to see how they might have aged her up the way they did with xiangua.
Should have had her in V, seeing her at a age of 30ish would have been great, real high on the waifu tier list of the series, but always too young. Current first place goes to Xianghua for me. Kind, cheerful and supporting and kicking ass.
I LOVE TALIM!!!!!!!!!!!! I love her for her good hearted nature, her moveset and she is waifu. (I known her since i was 10 so you cant call me a pedo) plus her and i have the same birthday! (same goes to Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden)
Doesn't matter what the characters are listed as. Hell even Siegfried is actually taller than Ivy if he stands up straight and he gets all the short jokes. Plus Rock is listed as 5'9", but he is almost as tall as Astaroth. He is usually the 2nd physical tallest character in the main roster. But in Soul Edge he was the tallest. It's rigged lol.
I love everything about Talim, her personality, her story and her fighting moves. The next character I would like to hear is Xianghua. Also Happy New Years!!! 😃🎉🍾
Soul Calibur IV was my first SC game, and I enjoyed her fighting style a lot. So here's my story of how I was introduced to her. I had gotten used to playing as Kilik (I considered him my main at the time), and I sat down and kicked my dad's butt with kilik. He got frustrated and told me to fight as a close range character instead of hiding behind the ranged rod (lol). So I did. I chose Talim because she was the closest ranged fighter in the game (and the fastest, other than Xianghua). I actually got invested in her character and started making characters with her FS. Eventually I wanted stronger weapons to boost my stats so I played her story mode. Her ending was by far my most favored one in SC IV because she's one of the only characters that had that emotionally impactful ending. Throughout her story she was just this sweet and innocent child, talking/praying to the wind. Spiritual characters like her reach out to me, I dunno why really, they just do. (Extra fun fact: my brother, who was 8 at the time, thought she was kinda annoying. Then come 15-16, he crushed on her pfft) But yeah. Those are the reasons I like her. I was also disappointed she wasn't in SC V yeah... instead we got *those two* hmph...
Talim >>>>>>> Josie Rizal One has a character design that tried so hard to "represent" and appeal to the "nationalistic senses" of a country, but just turned out so odd to look at. One has a character design that is more liberally designed in regards to her country of origin, yet is a more awesome character because her design didn't try so hard to "represent" that she defined herself as her own character regardless of country of origin.
Talim is actually my favorite character in Soul Calibur. My first SC game was SC2 on GameCube, and I remember really liking her unique moveset. It was fast and versatile, and made combos pretty easy. Her shamanistic background was very interesting, and she's probably the kindest, most incorruptible character in the series. She was also not much older than me when I first played it, so I identified with her in that way. I also really appreciated that she is one of the few female characters in SC with somewhat realistic proportions, if you know what I mean.
Great video. How about covering Cassandra? I feel that SCV should have followed her SC4 ending, since it was the only one that would really work with the situation, plus I can't imagine she would just sit by idly as her niece and nephew were raising havoc around the world. ^_^;
Lets not riot if Talim doesn't make it in Soul Calibur 6! Soul Calibur 6 takes place in Soul Calibur 1 where Talim is really young at that time! Though, she is being rumored to be in the game so we don't know!
Soul Calibur 6 is a disaster without Talim! Namco-Bandai knew it!! After emerging as the number 1 most famous character!! Bring her back or SC6 will face same recognition as SC5 😎
Hey history behind the warrior I just remembered if you could do a video on my favorite character I don’t know how many games he’s been in but he’s always been unique and fun for me. Necrid
Talim is my favorite character though im surprised to hear shes a fan favorite considering her absence from SC5 and even in SC4 she was very underpowered and felt like she fell by the wayside in all aspects.
It is Seong Mina, but in Korea, you would start with your family name first and then your name. He;s saying it her name the western name, which is first name then family name, so he wasn't exactly wrong, but I see how it could be confusing XDDD
The reason why Talim doesn't appear in Soul Calibur 5 is because my country, The Philippines, was being influenced by the Spanish Empire. Our original religion, called Animalism, was brushed aside because the Spanish introduced to my country Christianity. Soul Calibur 5 takes place 17 years after Soul Calibur 4, and so in those years the Spanish successfully took over my country and Animalism was forgotten, so Talim must've lost her ability to praise the winds
Me : **watching this video in pure silence** Also me, after watching this video : **clears voice** *_[speaks English with filipino accent]_* **giggling**
I liked how she played in 2! An easy 2 execute unblockable move best done after u did a certain combo, soul edge and soul calibur weapons dat restored life when u used 'em... what more can I say? They changed her up in 3, which I was kinda disappointed about tho...
I always liked talim mainly because of her move set and her unique weapons plus I thought she was cute and hot when I played soul caliber two I was around her age
Do Toki, I think I might've misspelled it but do her(not in that sense) but tell her backstory as a character( to add she has really nice....you know) but anyway do one on Toki.
I wonder how far back in time SCVI is going because what if (at that time) Talim is too young to be in the VI roster? I worry because I'd really like to see her return.
The reasons I like Talim;
-Her unique, fast, combo-versatile moveset.
*WAIFU*
Talim is popular for her kind personality, unique moveset, and the fact that she was the first Filipino character in fighting games.
JBBelen Kokoro She's easy to pick up, hard to master (and avoid Ring Outs).
She's just a paragon at heart
Thats it......that's the only reason? Kilk and Xianghua as well as Siegfried are the heros of Soul calibur and are part of major events
As well as the *other* reason he mentioned, unfortunately.
RaginDXDemon so what? She's still a great character
What I like about Talim is that her backstory represents our history well. I like her as being a babaylan (priestess in English) and her character. I'm not really surprised that she's small although I'm also a Filipina around her age because its history. I also do like her better than Josie.
Dude Talim's move set is kick ass. It was the easiest for me to learn in soulcailbur, second to Yun-seong's move set.
Frayhua That's how "YOU" feel.
I dislike Talim
To each there own of course, i figured not everyone liked her.
Hehe I just say you got a minority (of aholes) to first reply to you. For me Talim not being in 5 was one of its many problems (its story and most new characters being the worst). And for 6 Talim or no Talim is almost seriously the selling point.
Tbh I never really knew how popular she was.
I love how cute talim is , also she developed my fighting style for many other games :0 very flashy and constant movement.
I made a D&D character whos based on her they are a wind genasi who is a way of the four elements monk.
i was so pissed when she was left out of 5, moveset wise i loved how fast and acrobatic she was
She's not my favorite, but i REALLY like Talim as a character, she's one of the sweetest girls i've ever met in fiction and that's why she's one of my favorite characters in the series, she is one of the lights the soul series has, and her not being in SCV is pretty awkward to say the least. And also i want my favorite SC character to be next Kilik.
You've never met her
I appreciate Talim's twin Tonfas uses and her good heart
Fun Fact: She fought Necrid and helped him become human in SC2.
Definitely a character I want to see in Soul Calibur 6!
I enjoy the very beautiful combination of Talim's attitude and her skills with the Tonfas
I always choose Talim all the time back then, she is very beautiful. ❤️.
Talim's finest qualities IMO are her kindness and nature affiliation like SNK's Nakoruru. Next character request: Li Long.
Talim was extremely fun to play with when she had ring out throws an an effective silent-step. The youth aspect was more novelty for me and I was curious to see how they might have aged her up the way they did with xiangua.

Who here is Filipino? Also, do a video on Xianghua please!
Vin Vasquez I'm part Filipino
Yes, I am.
Mang Didge
Barely. Neither of them are very good reps for the Philippines lol
This is it, I can't wait to see the young Priestess of the Wind to return in the new game next year :{)
Tailm seem like a person I would like to know
I LOVE TALIM!!!!!!!!!!!! I love her for her good hearted nature, her moveset and she is waifu. (I known her since i was 10 so you cant call me a pedo) plus her and i have the same birthday! (same goes to Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden)
She’s my favorite I love her weapons.
why is Talim so small? because she doesn't have tall limbs..
Charlie Smith there are... No words...
I nvr had the urge to drink clorox bfor this comment...
*deeeeeeeep brreeeeeeaaaaath*
W O W
Wanna know something weirder? Amy is taller than her, but without her heels, Talim is suppose to be taller than her!
I would like to see Seong Mi-na pretty soon if possible.
TomFoolery She'd better be in the new game!
TomFoolery Yess shes bae!!
And in this video we in fact see that Behind The Warrior, History, in fact says things in a somewhat strange manner.
I love everything about Talim, her personality, her story and her fighting moves. The next character I would like to hear is Xianghua. Also Happy New Years!!! 😃🎉🍾
Please do Cassandra next!!!!!! Pretty please!
YEAH!!!!! MY GIRL TALIM! Also I can't wait for my waifu Taki's reveal trailer
Soul Calibur IV was my first SC game, and I enjoyed her fighting style a lot.
So here's my story of how I was introduced to her.

But yeah. Those are the reasons I like her.
I was also disappointed she wasn't in SC V yeah... instead we got *those two* hmph...
I like Talim because I used to piss off people by spamming and making her go "Ahhhhh!" over and over again.
"Talim" is the Filipino word that is that edge (sharp) part of a bladed weapon. "Talim" can also be an adjective that translates as "sharp".
Talim is soul caliber"s sweet heart
She’s so adorable , I luv her
didnt knew anything about her but now i do..happy new year to you HBTW
Yes my girl is here.
Sora Shiun'in Omg your here too!XD
Do a history of Maxi!!!
Steven Cisneros
I need a history of how a man that old can still be so sexy I mean dayum
Poet Halberd 🤔🤔🤔 interesting!!
Poet Halberd - from one poet to another, he has a piece of soul edge embedded inside him. Keeps him from aging.
Talim >>>>>>> Josie Rizal
One has a character design that tried so hard to "represent" and appeal to the "nationalistic senses" of a country, but just turned out so odd to look at.

Lol
She was definitely my favorite character in SC2
Could it be possible to do History of Taki next?
Mecha82 he has already done that
aaron plays No, he hasn't. He's done Mitsurugi, Sophitia, Ivy, Yoshimitsu, Siegfried, and Nightmare as of my posting this comment.
realEmotion369 oh you're right thought he already done that sorry
Tonfas beautiful used correctly can be very devastating. I appreciate Talim's hard work its a good story

Great video.

MUCH. Better. Southeast Asian representation than Raya.
Also, I'd so like to see what she looked like as a grown woman! Darn you shrunken story mode!
Hey, HBTW! Can you do some more HB Reviews?

Talim: WiNd gUiDe Me!
Aeon calcos AKA the OG Lizardman!
Lets not riot if Talim doesn't make it in Soul Calibur 6! Soul Calibur 6 takes place in Soul Calibur 1 where Talim is really young at that time! Though, she is being rumored to be in the game so we don't know!
Yeah, Talim😊
Could you do a video on Cassandra or Mi-Na Seong next?
Great work! Please consider doing a History of Setsuka or Cassandra!
Can you do Cassandra next
I agree...I want to see that as well
Yesss please!
Soul Calibur 6 is a disaster without Talim! Namco-Bandai knew it!! After emerging as the number 1 most famous character!! Bring her back or SC6 will face same recognition as SC5 😎
Talim is the best character in soul calibur someone change my mind
I kinda wonder how would they develop Talim more in terms of story and personality if she gets in the next game.
Love her fighting style easy yet complicated she do inpressive moves for someone her size
She's easy to pick up and play and she's adorable as a kitten.
Hey history behind the warrior I just remembered if you could do a video on my favorite character I don’t know how many games he’s been in but he’s always been unique and fun for me. Necrid
Talim has always been MY GIRL
Talim is my favorite character though im surprised to hear shes a fan favorite considering her absence from SC5 and even in SC4 she was very underpowered and felt like she fell by the wayside in all aspects.
love her play style
Fun fact: Talim is the filipino term of blade
OH SHIT TALIM IS IN SOUL CALIBUR VI !!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!
Well actually we don't know that just yet. But it wouldn't be a surprise if she did turn up.
+Raiku Uzumaki she better be and I hope this comes to the switch
Is it not Seong-Mina? You were pronouncing it as if it were Mina Seong
It is Seong Mina, but in Korea, you would start with your family name first and then your name. He;s saying it her name the western name, which is first name then family name, so he wasn't exactly wrong, but I see how it could be confusing XDDD
Doing Astaroth at some point would be appreciated bro
Yass my fav, i was pissed when i found out she wasn't in #5.
*History Behind the Warrior Nakoruru King of Fighters XIV.*
Asuka Tenjoin Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown? I love her but I love her sister most. Rimururu kawaii
At least now we have two Pinoy game characters how about other fighting games? Do they considered making one?
4:27 *Cough* Err, umm; I can wait? '>.>
xD
Hard to believe she the number one character in soul caliber
The name Talim came from a Filipino word (to be more precise a Tagalog word) "talim" meaning "sharp". :)
incostirva actually when you use the word "talim" as an adjective it is meant as "sharp" and if it is a noun it is meant as the sharp edge of a blade
Can you do a soul calibur 6 history video on either Voldo or Amy in the future, if you want to
Talim is my fav character. Always use her for soul calibur 2
can you do Cassandra next and I see why Talim is a fan favirote. the reason I like Talim is here personality
The reason why Talim doesn't appear in Soul Calibur 5 is because my country, The Philippines, was being influenced by the Spanish Empire. Our original religion, called Animalism, was brushed aside because the Spanish introduced to my country Christianity. Animism yun…
Me : **watching this video in pure silence**
Also me, after watching this video : **clears voice** *_[speaks English with filipino accent]_* **giggling**
a history of maxi would be good
I hope to see talim in the near future
I liked how she played in 2! An easy 2 execute unblockable move best done after u did a certain combo, soul edge and soul calibur weapons dat restored life when u used 'em... what more can I say?
They changed her up in 3, which I was kinda disappointed about tho...
My favorite fighting game character next to Chun Li.
So that's why she didn't pop up in 5 we don't know what happened to her after 4. All makes sense now hopefully since 6 is a reboot she may come back.
I always liked talim mainly because of her move set and her unique weapons plus I thought she was cute and hot when I played soul caliber two I was around her age
YES for realsies??? she'll be in the game? awesome!!
"Talim" should be spoken fast and is translated as "Sharp-edged" or "Sharp-Bladed".
Do Toki, I think I might've misspelled it but do her(not in that sense) but tell her backstory as a character( to add she has really nice....you know) but anyway do one on Toki.
I wish my best friend would listen to me because she would be able to cosplay talem.
TIRA
I KNOW TIRA IS MY BAE
It's not weird when your the same age as her at the time XD
History Behind Zaslamel next?
4:56 - "JEBUS"! You've kept on saying that, I mean I don't know for how long?!?
My favorite character. 🫶🏼💕
Do a history of Maxi? Or more HB reviews, please.

OMG Talim is representing PinoyPride or in other words she represents the Philippines well
PLZ TELL ME THE NAME OF THE INTRO SONG AT LEAST THE LINK TO IT
The wind speaks to her
Do Kilik history please
He is one of my all time favorites
The hype about her is her weapon and moveset.
I wonder how far back in time SCVI is going because what if (at that time) Talim is too young to be in the VI roster?
I worry because I'd really like to see her return.
I've heard since its a soft reboot of the franchise if they bring talim back they can make her whatever age they want
She was the best in Soul Calibur 2 and 3 for sure. She's not my favorite but her moveset is good.
I NEED A AMY/VIOLA VIDEO!!!!!
