I loved her portrayal of the totally ruthless and super-competent Empress Georgiou, trapped in the wrong universe and still raising Hell everywhere she goes, Michelle Yeoh absolutely killed it with her performance. Also, she was given great lines: "Easy is boring and I hate boring!" Also, it has to be said that I think this version of Georgiou and Michael Burnham were a much better match than Burnham and Captain Georgiou. Burnham had the Captain as her mentor, yes, but in the end she made such bad calls the Captain ended up gutted aboard a Klingon ship. The Empress understood Burnham far better and was much better at forcing Burnham to walk a straight line and THINK as opposed to acting in what she believed was the right way. Burnham was really the foster daughter the Empress never really got with the Burnham she knew from the Terran universe corrupted by Lorca from the beginning. They were so good for each other... I just wish she and Nhan had more scenes together, those two had great chemistry and did a fantastic job of tag-teaming Leland/Control the one time they really got to work together.
Between Michelle Yeoh's scenes in Discovery, and the Mirror Universe episodes from DS9, Enterprise and Discovery, all I can think is one thing... Why in the Nine Hells of Hades has Paramount not green-lit a "Star Trek: Terrans" series set fully in the Mirror Universe?! That would be so ridiculously badass - the idea of no "good guys" on any side of the story, yet all the major characters are still human, with all the human flaws and baggage. Total missed opportunity....
@@HierophanticRose W40K is similar, but it's really not The Mirror Universe. The DS9 and Discovery episodes were something all their own that I don't think anything else has ever come near - characters which were simultaneously total evil yet still likable, in a strange and twisted way.

From Miss Malaysia to starfleet captain and then Emperor in star trek LOL
You could see how much fun she had playing this role. I felt happy for her every time she smiled on camera.

The empresses body language is such good story telling. When she looks at a person it’s like looking a meat at the supermarket.

The show runners said last year she isn't coming back to Discovery, but we'll be getting a spinoff of her time with Section 31!
