Thank you so much for this video!! I was attempting to swap.out my OEM headlights for LED by just going through the back and was so frustrated! I've learned so much from watching your channel!!
The other half and I installed my lights without removing the whole housing. It was a nightmare. He installed his this way and it was a world of difference! Thanks for sharing this.
I change out the headlights on both Rykers the hard way. Right side was the worst. I can see it would have been easier to remove the housing. Thanks again the the great videos.
Just a quick recommendation to take note of the USB’s polarity when removing the USB’s two Fast-On connectors. A “+” is cast into the rear of the USB housing adjacent to the terminal. Mark the Fast-On terminal sheath with a “+” using a Magic Marker so you get it right when re-installing the glove box. The PO of my Sport got it wrong and the USB port was dead until I figured out what was wrong and corrected the error.
Just followed your instructions, thank you so much for the video. Much easier to follow than the Slingmod instructions, they need to request use of your video. Again, thank you. Also, I used a T-30 and it fit perfectly? Probably the assembler used a different torx? Thanks Beth, and Tina (videographer).
G'day Beth, greetings from down-under and kudos for the content you continue to supply - it's always informative. Regarding the Ryker "push-pins" do you happen to know the specifications for these and are all the push-pins on a Ryker the same size??
Hey Beth, I just purchased a '22 Ryker 600 ACE and installed the SlingMods reverse jockey shifter, which required removing the lower left side panel. Shifter went on great, but now I can't get the panel back on. Any tips/tricks would be so appreciated. Am getting zero help from the dealership.
Beth, my frunk cover has a bunch of scratches. I tried googleing how to remove just the cover and only saw your video. My question is, can you just remove the frunk cover. I saw at cheapcycle that I can order just the cover. Thank you in advance for answering my question.
Yes! There are 2 small screws that hold the frunk lid in place. Then it should just pop off. If you run into trouble PM on FB and I can walk you through it.
Beth of all the parts & accessories; why haven’t can am or you considered adding hazard flashing lights? As a retired fl law officer I’m thinking about traffic safety and tons of traveling motorists. I’m curious why can am haven’t added these much needed lights to their US Rykers even in ‘22. Even you haven’t added it to your Ryker
You are 💯 correct. It should Be on the Ryker. Honestly, this may sound silly, but the one time I need hazard lights, I just put it in reverse. Boom, flashing lights. Not a perfect solution, but it works.
@@RykerRydes Use of hazard flashers: just verifying soooo when I take the trike out of park, while in reverse, the flashers illuminates and the trike will not move backward unless I throttle correct?
What are you do with the plastic washer that was on the original headlight do you leave that off and just use the black one that comes with that headlight?
@Ryker Rydes thank you very much for your response it was definitely helpful. My next question is my Ryker is pretty new I almost hit 300 miles but I was told once I hit 200 miles I should get an oil change but when I called the dealer he's talking about its going to cost me a little over $400 is that true? For checking all the bearings and make sure everything is running correctly?
@@bullsback23 you should be able to bring your Ryker to the dealership for a free walk-through after 200 miles to make sure everything is intact. That is common place to do after you buy a new Ryker. As far as the oil change is concerned, there are two schools of thought. One is after the break in, which is usually 500 miles or some believe you can wait 6000 miles for the first oil change. I think I did mine after 4000 miles. I will give you the link so you can follow my steps to do the oil change and it’s not that hard, it’ll save you a bunch of money. It made me want to cuss out the Slingmods guy that does the video on LED headlight installation. Tha parts in the damn video were not even the same !!!
Just want to add: a CAUTION, it’s so easy to break the plastic on the CanAm panels! Be VERY CAREFUL , if you are not sure as to how a panel removes. Go to you-tube, and do full research on how to remove a given panel. These things are made really CHEAP, I’m certainly sorry to say this cause I own one. Also when you break one of these tabs, good luck finding any type of glue that will bond to this type of plastic. And who wants to buy a new panel just because you broke one of the fasting tabs.😡
You always make things so easy for your followers. What originally might have been to intimidating, you now make simple. Well done.
Thanks John!!!
