Well, I seem to remember Dee-lite blowing everyone away around 1990. I hope they get an honorable mention in this doc. Excellent doc, by the way. Thanks for the upload!

The cool thing about where I went to college (Tarkio MO middle of nowhere) from 85-89 is the school recruited heavily from Chicago and those Chicago kids all brought this house music with them. So we were getting exposed to the underground uncut funk pretty much as it was coming out of Chicago. I was a music major back then and I still dabble in electronica and those days listening to that early house music influence me to this day.

Let it be known all those DJ'S/RE-MIXERS made/mixed those songs that became MAINSTREAM.... They were breaking records back then.. Amazing!

Stuff from the U.K., definitely helped to evolve edm. I believe it's one of the main reasons , it continues to evolve. Of course, along with other music producers around the globe, which also add to the evolvement, such as drum n bass, dubstep, to drumstep, and other steps. House will never die neither! I like the new stuff coming out. So refined, defined.

@KalleSnax Thats "A day in the Life" - Black Riot (Todd Terry) We were both on the same label- Fourth Floor Records.
QS: It was that song that I heard in Studio 54 and brought me to the label where I was had my 1st release.

Back here in Chicago we really had to give it up to "Fluffy Little Clouds" and "Pacific State." It may have been a bunch of drugged out English guys, but those tracks blew our minds.

this is straight bullshit now! from number 7 this history of house have turned into bullshit! If it is not the classic house from 1982 to 1987 then it isn't house music! Everything else is just plain club music! That crap from England didn't even make it over here
