I think the only type of fighter that could challenge Bo Nickal is probably a Dagestan fighter.. Now that would be a matchup. Other than that Bo might just be to OP for many fighters to handle with his wrestling/strangling abilities.

I don’t really see why people are giving Yair so much of a chance in this fight, he fell short against holloway and Frankie Edgar and his only notable win is against Ortega. Volk is the P4P king, the only way I can see it being competitive is if volk is looking past him but even then I think he beats him with his arms tied behind his back
The Frankie Edgar fight was 6 years ago. That was a less experienced Yair. If Frankie fought Yair today...definitely a different outcome. Yair fought Max on short notice and was sick going into that fight...Yair turned Max into a wrestler that night. A present day, healthy Yair is a dangerous Yair who definitely has a chance defeating Volk (IMO).

Everyone keeps talking about a Volk vs Islam fight…. I get it as a fan I want to see it too. But thinking about it from Islam’s management’s perspective there’s no way he should take that fight. He was promised if he put his belt and legacy on the line he stood to be named p4p #1. Then he was not given what he was told. Now people think he should take a rematch where he stands to win nothing and lose everything…. For what? There’s really no other way to look at it. It just doesn’t make sense for him. He’d have to have no brain and brain dead management to agree to that. Plus I think as great as volk really is, yair might be able to get the W.
