    You mentioned how liberating it is to realise you are a fool. When it truly hit me that I effectively knew nothing as a result of being submerged in nonsense from all the usual societal sources I felt lighter and liberated. It makes me wonder if it is like releasing a burden of carrying useless false information. With that weight gone I could think more freely. I do not describe myself as “awake” but I do now know that I am not awake. I now have an increased chance of becoming awake or enlightened by relying on what I can actually know through my own experience. Folks like your good self have helped greatly in that process. Thanks Steven

      Perhaps you are a fool and always have been...but realising you are stupid...doesn't make you clever.......it just enforces what people have thought about you for years.....village idiot comes to mind.....😂

      You're very welcome. I must admit I was reluctant to consider myself 'awake' for a long time, but I've come to accept that is the proper word for it. It's happening to people all over, in every walk of life. Awakening from deception. It doesn't mean we are enlightened or know everything, but it's a certain shift in perspective, an objectivity, a coming to the senses. But mainly our old beliefs are just no longer believable and we start questioning more.

    Just found your channel after listening to your talk in Dundee and having read your book. Inspiring, very well written and completely resonated with me. Using non-fiction science you exposed the science fiction preached by governments and the scientific institutions. Essential reading for the great awakening. ❤️

    I had this same realization 20 years ago while performing on stage at a concert. I was 6 years into my music career at the time.
    I quit almost immediately.
    I’m not here to play the clown.
    (I understand the meaning behind the “fool” archetype and can see your brilliance, contrarianism aside 😉)

    Love the book - totally awesome dude! Particularly enjoyed the chapter on 'The Seven' and love that it's on page 214 ( 2+1+4=7 ) and if this was pure coincidence I love it even more! 😂❤

      Ah ha! Well spotted!! I didn't plan that actually. Did you also notice that it's chapter 22, and 22/7 = pi

    Throwing a contrarian position into the conversation, I expect someone to laugh, say wow, then explore the ideas with the possibility that just maybe I have a point. It NEVER happens.

    Stupid only means unknowing as in stupEd.. but when the attitude is to offend out of ego people call people stupid. We have to 'learn' to call ourselves stupid and mean it. Not that it means we are imbeciles obviously. Some people are too touchy and don't read any psychology.
    Personally we can usually call ourselves an idiot at times when we mess up but if someone else calls us it we may get defensive or at worse hit them or get get knocked out 😅. I've always known I know nothing and lately belief has become as important.
    Be-LIE-ve . Even lies can be healthy.. the brain doesn't know better. Placebo effect proves lies can heal and the truth can ruin. We all know the truth can be harsh and we don't want to hear it. mostly ego related. Or the truth happens to be wrong which it often is even tho it's been known 'fact' for so long.
    Advaita explains everything. Physics has the details. Western world are slowly merging with the east tho. I've noticed within the medical profession yoga and mindfulness are encouraged.

      Aaah yes, the Young clan motto, I read that a few years ago. There doesn't appear to be any remaining Young clan here in Scotland. I found some Canadian and American groups but not sure if it's really what you'd call a clan, just people with same name loosely associated. Good motto though!

    "hiding alchemy and astrology". Interesting. Some see these 2 as 1. Re astrology, any thoughts on tropical vs sidereal?

    • @steven_a_young
      @steven_a_young  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      yeah they are intertwined, like above and below. Sidereal is very interesting, I think my sidereal chart is a better description of me than my tropical chart, personally.

    What do you think of Donald Hoffman with his belief nothing is real and everything is a mathematical construct ?

    • @steven_a_young
      @steven_a_young  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't know Donald Hoffman, but I do have friends who hold this view, that all of reality is a hallucination of sorts. I am currently of the view that the elements, fire, air, earth and water, are objectively real, and preceded human consciousness.

    I am sure you have heard of sonoluminescence. Could this mean that light is just another phase of water.

    • @steven_a_young
      @steven_a_young  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      With sonoluminescence, I expect it is the sound that is being transformed into light, due to the rapid increase in pressure from the collapsing bubble. Sound and light are different frequencies of vibration (fire), so they can be transformed into one another.

      I can relate: I have an undergrad in engineering and have no desire whatsoever to work in the "real world", I work a job that doesn't require a college degree and I'm much happier than I would be otherwise.

    • @nicolem889
      @nicolem889 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I wonder if many great thinkers were probably unemployed. I think school is just a hub for exchanging ideas and for research. It doesn’t usually catapult people in any direction. They choose a direction based on the life that they already know through their parents or peers. Academia can be fun if done correctly. That means taking classes just to produce work that you’re proud of or for enjoyment. It’s not actually meant to get you a job. Yes there are recruiters for jobs at school but any person can reach out to those same recruiters and they’re going to choose that candidate based on a multitude of variables including relatability and likability.
