I’ve done this radical chemotherapy cream several times in as many years. It’s debilitating in that I didn’t want to leave the house. It’s horribly disfiguring for the duration of the application phase through the healing phase.
Can you discuss the side effects of using this cream? both short term and potential long term? How much does the body absorb compared to say liquid IV form. Could it be harmful long term? Thank you for your thoughts on this.
I was diagnosed with AK and the derma prescribed fluero cream. I was so freaked i threw it away and probably caused more irritation by my own methids. Two years later I decided to use it after researching, somewhat more enlightened about it. Got a friend to write a script and I applied for 21 days, 1x at night. It “flared” and blistered and destroyed pillow cases, so i covered with a hydrocolloid gel type bandage for sleep. The efudex kicked my butt; sleepy, loss of appetite, and I thought to take spirulina/chlorella to clean out and help immune system bcz that’s where healing comes from, eh? The present: ten days after stopping the area is so inflamed. Mostly, I understand, people have a scab and then blisters which dry and reveal new baby skin but not I. I think efudex is just prescribed easily, zero patient discussion or explanation or what to expect or even if this IS the best treatment! I just have to wait and see how this freaky healing goes. But of this I’m certain: our western diets full of seed oil/Linoleic acid is more responsible than our divine sun for causing horrific skin probs. I do believe if you’re in a good place these AK’s can be frozen off and not go through the efudex horrors. For some people it works, not everyone. I hope you’ve found, by now I know it’s been a year, a good treatment and if so, please comment. Best!
28 dàys for me... it was horrible. So terrible ... my skin is so red.. now it's thé first Day after post treatment and it's hard.. so painfull... juste the nose for me but it's enough... too hard. Take care of you.
Into my 4th week and the scab is big and crusty. I went back to the dermatologist today without appointment. She said it appears like a secondary infection and told me to stop and now take antibiotics. The scab is the size of a quarter. I was trying to avoid mohs surgery on my cheek😢. I begged for this stuff ( imoquid). So, I guess after I heal, we'll know if it got all the basil cell. Prayers to you both. 🙏
After 3 days of using this ointment at night, I'm starting to have oozing. I can't use it during the day because I have a lap cat that touches my face, and I don't want to kill him as this cream is very toxic to animals!😢
Ok Doc what happened to the "About the Side Effects... " of this treatment!

The title is misleading. Said nothing of side effects.
This is a very quick description of why people use it and what the skin reaction is.
God bless you for taking the time to make this video!

Is it necessary to use the fu cream no pun intended if it's just Actinic keratoses

Hi
Can you help me please
I am from Iraq
I have a flat wart on face
I want an active treatment please
I’m on day 24 and it’s horrible
I thought it was a 14 day treatment?
@@mhaas281 My is 14 days, but I’ll bet the doctor will have me do it again later. It’s itchy and ugly.
@@suew5659 I did it for 2 weeks and my face didn't react as bad as I was suspecting. I guess that's a good thing. I'll do it again next winter.

Useless video… just wasted two minutes of my life haha
Did any one else feel like doing nothing at all during this treatment?
Be better to go run a few laps around Fukishima
I am on my 10th day. Awful, Burning and painful
Good Lord I'm on 9
Just finished 14 days and the pain and itching is about a 7. Hope this is worth it.
@@TraceyEaster760 Stay with it please. I know it was harder at the end but it’s worth it. My face did heal fast after stopping the treatment
Useless, nothing about side effects. Your face will turn into a pizza while two or three weeks in. I am at day 17. This guy tells you almost nothing.
Keep going as long as you can handle it. 4 weeks is usually the max. Clear fluid indicates death to the cell.
