Just want to tell you how much these videos help. The fact that you film yourself and still do all of the work is nothing short of amazing. Keep up the good work and thanks for such informative videos.
A rat's nest of wires and tubes on that cab, but you've got all the clutch arrangement memorized in that head of yours. Absolutely amazing! Another great video! Thanks so much Warren.
Hi Warren. I have found that in my service business, you can not be everything to everybody. Raise your prices, (we currently charge $95 per hour for labor), pick a mileage limit for your service area, take care of your best customers first. Glad you are still putting out content.
Love your cheater bar! Great video's as usual. Enjoyed your reminiscing yesterday about your friend. Made me feel quite at home with my hooligan buddies. All ex military, we look after each other as best as we can within reason. We are moving into our 60's now and have to remind each other to slow down. Our bodies don't recover like they used to. Keep well Warren.
Hi Warren thank you for this series on the 4050. i have a 4650 that needs some of the same work . really helps to see the size of project will be very helpful for my understanding. glad to see you back. you do amazing work.
Those series tractors were good tractors. They definitely didnt have the mechanic in mind when building that one. But I imagine its alot better then the new ones they build now..Great job and video on the old girl..
Warren, glad you take time with the wife, because regret is a hard one to live with. My dad died when i was about 23, and my mom ended up getting married again to a good guy, but he was always out in the garage working on old car's, and my mom would go out to see him for a few minutes and go inside. My mom took care of everything, cooked all his meals, and they talked on his lunch break at work. One day my mom said to him that he was gonna regret not spending more time with her. In 2016 my mom died from cancer in 4 day's from when they found it. I was there with her at the end, and my step dad was gonna go out to the garage, but i knew she was getting ready to pass, and he stayed, and in 15 minutes she was gone. I never have seen a man with more regret than him, and he couldn't work in the garage anymore, and he kept telling me how she said he would regret not spending time with her. He has a few month's until he retired, and they planned on travelling a bit, but he was to late. He ended up moving a woman in, because he couldn't take being alone at night. I don't see him much, because i know he hasn't dealt with her passing, and he also did some dirty stuff with the property, which i don't hold against him, because he will have to answer for it. Anyway, glad you spend time with your wife, because she sounds like a good one, always there when you need her. G-d bless you and yours.
Warren I do not know how you just jump into tearing down a tractor and then put it all back together. Love how you are not affraid to be yourself and make mistakes or jus figure it out with us all holding our breath. I wish my daughter could watch you but sometimes your choice of words might not be good for a 14 year old. Keep it up
Its is good to see you back. The 4050 is turning into quite a good series proper strip down. I think you are right to keep yourself local rather than covering a vast area. Customers know your abilities & what service they receive. They will either accept they need to tow the equipment to you or be disappointed by the excessive waiting times. You are one man.
Hey Warren, at 8:30, I think the Agco tractor part you were tying to recall the term for is a torque limiter clutch, at least that's what it's called in the Case world. Slips if needed to prevent drive line damage. Thanks for all the great videos. Stay warm.
@@westerntruckandtractorrepa1353 Warren I only said something because I think a lot of people use your videos to try to repair their own stuff because you cover a lot of common repairs and do it well. I just was hoping if someone was here for that and they read the comments they would not get messed up ordering parts. I did not mean anything against you. I appreciate you taking the time to film what you get into and your work ethic is without question.

I thought the problem was only the clutches , but the differental was worse! Pays to check everything ,
You say leave equipment running for an hour with no one around. I know a guy he partied a little harder than most people. He was plowing oil leases in the winter and the guy come and pick them up and they went partying in a small town close by and he forgot where he left his tractor. Tractor ran for over 2 days until he found it. Didn't even run out of fuel now that's talent 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for the ride along sir, I am enjoying watching the process. This is no job for the faint of heart for sure. Going to look forward to videos to come on this one. Thanks again.
Great video Warren really enjoy watching you troubleshoot and teardown what part's are bad on this tractor. Looking forward to your next video stay safe Warren.
Very intensive job ! Pure knowledge to look on the output shaft ! could have skipped that and this thing comes back full of crap , amazing the self destruction. Nice to see the FAULT , as was said , maybe brake lines . wow , very involved . Good diagnose and confirmation.
I was wondering if you pulled those oil tubes out before you split it. I just split a 4455 and forgot to pull them but got lucky and didn’t bend them. But that powershift has seen some action.
Love watching your videos Warren. Wish I could come help you. Body's a little beat up from 40yrs. Of wrenching but the minds still pushing on. I'd be happy just cleaning up your shop and cleaning parts.
Low trans pressure pulling in to High a gear overheats fluid boils causes loss of charge pressure.Wrong or cheap fluid water in fluid ruins trans = Smoked friction discs in transmission s They should put trans charge pressure gauge or warning light on these. Owner should have suction screens cleaned every service. I come across so many machine s with dirty suction intake screen. They don't understand filters are return flow . Some machines you can reach into sump and clean out any sludge and check for debris like fiction disc material. Excellent 👍 channel.

Ha Warren get video. I was out at farmer's place doing some work on his combine and they were fighting a bolt that they only can get a wrench on. They used one of my wrench extenders and they asked me were I got it at.
Hi Warren 😃, it's a long way down to get into it before you start making a list that's or sure, was it the drip oil the wrecked the frictions or just wear and tear,?. I don't blame ya for wanting to get home by the fire in winter, that's a good place to be,mate, tomorrow's another day. I look ford to your next video, thanks for your time and efforts, stay safe, best wishe's to you and your's, Stuart UK.
It's great to see you're still plugging along making it happen! That's one tractor it would just make me lose my marbles! Automotive is bad enough but man oh man is that thing got itself complicated! Try to take care of that worn body and enjoy your Fireside with your wife! All the best from Dennis
Warren you said don’t leave equipment run with no one around and your absolutely right . We had a couple hired men get our 5020 stuck in a low spot farming . They left it run while they went to get another tractor. When they got back the motor was locked up and found a radiator hose had failed . Good advice goes a long way.
Oh man. This brings back memories of my youth when I was stripping these girls down in the 90's. Doing this exact job over and over again with dozens of these old girls working in a John Deere dealer. Awesome tractor, but the trans did like any abuse or extended oil changes. Thank you for these videos
Stanadyne bd2 injection pump I can't get the timing marks to line up I read one of the timing marks in the pump isn't supposed to move or I might be reading the wrong form for a different pump help maybe thank you
Used to help my uncle and cousin out on big jobs. Splitting a tractor always involved a lot of cussing then waiting for parts and then cuss some more. It's a ton of work and you have to get it right the 1st time or face not making a profit on your time. I never could stand hydraulic fluid, crap gets everywhere one drip at a time in a garage.
You are my favorite mechanic on TH-cam you know your stuff I'm going to get a hat from you here again real soon it's coming up on Christmas order one last year and someone stole it off my porch some piece of garbage so if you see someone wearing your hat punch him in the face for me thank you sir have a good one my brother
Great Video, Warren. Did you say something about them using the wrong hydraulic fluid? It’s funny to see how much time it takes to get to what you need to work on, most people don’t realize how many hours are involved. Thanks for sharing your time and knowledge. I remember spending weeks worth the time getting a tractor tore apart, and reassembled. Very nerve racking when you start it and see if everything plays nice. 👍🏻👍🏻
Hope the JD supply chain holds up for these tractors as the economy stumbles along at or near "zero growth" with high inflation. Stagnation with high inflation. That monetary policy is used to tamp down inflation with higher unemployment rates. Stag-flation. The USA has used it before and we are headed that way again. No one working for a wage wins.
All because some guy dumped the wrong oil in it 🤦. I know some operations that don't let the operators even add fuel to the machines themselves because they would screw it up and this is why
If someone actually put drip oil into that machine they need to be fired , preferably fired out of a cannon while it is faced a brick or rock wall. The two should make a fine match since they are as smart as one another. I really hope that that isn't the case but you're the one seeing the damage first hand. And you're right doing a job like that is a tremendous amount of work. Been there done that , miss it but I don't miss it all at the same time.

Slipper clutch and Cush drive is other terms to describe it

36:19 a bit of a misspeak with that 2spd for the 15spd powershift not a perma clutch since that would be on a quad range.
