Great Video man. I'm a Volunteer in AUSTRALIA with the CFA. Soon i'll be starting to run a gopro on my helmet if i'm allowed. Keep uploading the video's man! Love chasing down a good Grass Fire! God bless
Awesome video. I have a rig set up somewhat like yours. Just something to try during the off season. If you have a rear discharge reduce it down to a ¾” get a small hose line of 8’ with a ¾” ultimate hose nozzle. You can find them on eBay. That way you don’t lose psi on your 1”. Or keep hitting your pump. The ¾ hand line works very well with that nozzle. Good psi and good flow. Stay safe out there…
I thought i was going to say Great Job near the beginning, then saw the way the driver operated that vehicle. Way to fast, keep your hands on the wheel they can see the fire. The nozzle man needs to to stop throwing the stream around. Slow and steady puts the grass fire out.
First of all good on ya vollies Second why weren’t all personal wearing full PPE, why was the vehicle going so fast, and why weren’t you making sure that the edge you were extinguishing was 100% out so you didn’t have to circle back? Please note these questions aren’t to have a go at you or any of the personal in the video I am just interested in how you do things as I’m from west Australia where we do things a different way.
You did good, but you need to slow your hand down. Whipping that stream back and forth super fast does less than going back and forth slower. Good work just slow your hand down some.
It's a low intensity fire low rate of spread the drive needs to slow down especially with a guy on the back you need to pick a section of the fire and stick with until the perimeter of the fire is out then move to a new section of the fire and not driving around like a chicken with his head cut off if this is there style of attack they need more training on it and how to do it safely
"Driver....I don't need you to point to the fire. I can see it.....just drive the truck...and slow the fuck down so I can put water where it needs to go......wtf."
slow down and put it out.
If he was to slow down it risks time for it to spread more and uses the water up faster.
Great Video man.

are you a fire fighter.
Yes
i dont think you are.
I think you are a Firefighter as am I and I agree with you he did a good job but needs to slow down.
Maybe he would not have been doing this if the damn driver was not doing mach 2!
The driver needs to remember what he is there for, to let the nozzle man actually put out fire. Slow down.
This made my head hurt watching this
