I've been enjoying this series a lot. I'm glad to see all the various AC retrospectives coming out of the woodwork, and this one offers some unique aspects. Thanks for putting in the work!
Thank you! Man you should mention "side to side comparisons on various emulators/console" in the title or at least description, I couldn't find such information elsewhere.... They are really helpful!!! :D Now I can finally rest assured knowing my PS3 does suck compared to a 360, and keep playing @ sub-20FPS and regret about every single decision I've made thus far..... :P
Hey there, a small question: Did you use the 20th anniversary boxset of AC soundtracks as a frame of reference? Because i'm sad to tell you that it is one of the worst mixing jobs around the industry. They quantized all the tracks from their original versions (For both games and individual OST releases) so that's why you might see the soundtrack heavily compressed and laud af. Also, you should learn to play a bit better before throwing around such heavy statements as "clunky" or "slow" to describe 5th gen of AC. Just a friendly advice.
