It would be easy to call Vince a sadist considering all the stuff he made Heyman, Bischoff, and even his own children do, but then you remember he subjected himself to exponentially more embarrassment it's obvious the guy just has a flair for absurd comedy.
Also, he made his whole character out of being the most stereotypical "Evil Boss" in human history (which may have more basis in reality than we previously thought) so that people watching at home could feel catharsis by proxy when he inevitably gets made to look like a fool.
Vince is a crazy madman. That’s how he gets people to do anything for him. “You won’t get your face stuck Rikishi’s ass cheeks? I got mine stuck in Big Show’s”.
Or he’s a sadist that likes absurd comedy.
You could also call him a masochist at the same time considering what he put himself through
Except he didn't do everything his kids did. I don't recall Vince getting his testicles shocked by a car battery at the hands of a pissed off big red machine.
I think it depends on what said promoter thinks is embarrassing, because I bet you Vince loved doing that stuff

Hulk Hogan did not in anyway help TNA. In fact, he helped, along with Vince Russo, help destroy their working relationship with Spike TV and eventually losing their tv deal.. TNA never recovered after Hogan and Eric tried to re-ignite the Monday Night war

Hogan, Nash, Hall and Bischoff combined did the most damage to ruin TNA. Now it WAS Dixie who gave those scum full backstage power it was them who didn't need to abuse it but they did much like all 4 did in WCW when it died out.

I’m not surprised of Vince being #1 dude is a psycho maniac but I think Khan and Carter are also contenders especially Khan. At least Vince embarrassed himself a lot mostly to entertain the fans but Khan he just acts like he’s lost and doesn’t know what to do especially with all the recent interviews he’s done. At least many of the promoters on this list using act like bosses, Khan doesn’t even feel like a boss, just a mark who acts like people’s friends.
Still though I don't care what anyone says The Hogan and Eric Era or TNA/Impact is underrated. Hogan TNA debut is still the highest rated TNA show to this day, when Hogan and Eric were there ratings were at 2million viewers. And they had better crowds.
I never understand why people are more concerned with viewership than quality of the product.
@TitusRedwind A continually good quality product has more staying power in the sense that numbers will be more stable and grow gradually. Sure, the Hogan TNA bit was briefly highly rated, but it led to less consistent numbers, poor business decisions, money losses, and losing their TV deal.
Good ratings and crowds don’t necessarily mean a good show. It just means they have enough star power to bring people in
The show got better when Russo left and Prichard came in. The shows became consistent, and storylines were a bit better. 2011 to 2013 was entertaining.

I'm not sure I'd consider Tony Khan's address to be him embarassing himself. It was awkward, sure, and obviously we can all decide for ourselves if we take the claims of fearing for his life seriously but at the same time, it's not like he could just ignore the sudden absence of one of the company's top star on the show that was basically made especially for him and hope nobody would notice.
It's also not like a wrestler assaulting his boss and fucking brawling in gorilla is a common occurence, fortunately, so again I can see why it warranted an explanation, epsecially for more casual audiences who don't keep their finger on the pulse of real-world behind-the-scenes drama, and I don't think it's completely crazy for him to have been fearful for his health, if not his life.
I don't understand why a) this is on the list, and b) why it's so high on the list.
The man does the most verbal gymnastics in order to avoid speaking truthfully, that in itself is embarrassing, never mind claim of booker of the year and all nonsense that meltzer credits him for in order to make tk feel like he’s doing a good job, when he can barely keep an audience of diehards that want to like his product.
