    How to apply hip throw with ease. Two step rule. When I came to my sambo gym this was the first throw I learned. Hip toss teaches you proper movement on the mat. So my advice is to learn the throw if you don't know it yet and make it one of your weapons
    ================================================
    Sambo is a versatile sport because it has large amount of techniques in standing position as well as on the ground. Why can't you throw an opponent who's equal or stronger opponent? There are two main reasons. First - you're setting up and doing the throw wrong, and the second you're predictable and everyone knows your moves. In both cases your technique is flawed and something has to be changed. All progressive MMA fighters are incorporating sambo submissions. It's easily explainable due to limited time on the ground ( 2-5 seconds to catch and another minute to complete ). Sambists research the fastest and most effective ways to finish for years. Why does everyone want to finish fast? It's an opportunity to finish in style and preserve your energy. I know the taste of quick finishes like no other. 25 years in sambo, 13 World Championships in which i earned 2 golds, 4 silvers, 1 bronze and most importantly 90% of my victories happened before regulation time expired. I spent 20000 hours

      @Shawn Mendenall Thanks for taking the time to reply bro. When I went to the first session I was intending to get a monthly membership at the place that hosts the classes, and attend wrestling 3x week plus dabble in other classes like kickboxing, krav and Ju Jitsu on top.. I sure got a reality check after a single session. It has taken me a whole week to recover before I feel ready to go again. And this is as someone who generally deadlifts twice a week and squats twice a week too. Im in the gym every day for 2-3 hours lifting weights and doing heaps of mobility work. But still, wrestling is a whole other level. A barbell doesnt fight back. Wrestling a larger person, trying to brute force against bad leverages is so much more draining than even the heaviest deadlifts. Also my neck is dead from all the bridging exercises and rolls.

      Koshi guruma relies more specifically on the push of the shoulder of tori against the neck of uke and on the external position of the hip of tori. In an ideal Koshi guruma there is no headlock, the head and the neck should be free - Judo teacher - thanks for the video

    Athlete in Jiu Jitsu . I haven’t trained in 2 Years due to injury and I am 48 years old. While I was training I was coaching I coached our athletes in wrestling which was lacking. Watching your channel makes me think of watching some of the Russian International rustlers coaching on TH-cam. I do believe that the eastern bloc wrestling in freestyle and Greco Roman is better because unlike American wrestling, There seems to be more productive and repetitive drilling Of a new technique , Where partners are cooperating with training partners Who gradually increase the intensity of the resistance and help their training partners engrain the move in muscle memory. They treat drilling like a game and help each other get better until it’s time to really help each other by getting the right amount of energy. In a lot of American gyms whether wrestling BJJ, or Judo training partners either prevent you from learning a technique properly by Making it too difficult to even learn the body mechanics because they are resisting so hard in the beginning, or there like wet noodles they don’t give you any energy. The upper level guys always drill drill drill and then drills tomorrow and do it at all intensity levels, so they learn if they can actually pull it off against a real opponent. Guys who train intelligently and breakdown the technique and all the variables that make it not work Simultaneously learn the counters, and towel to get around the counters. Grappling is really a stinking man’s game and if you approach it with too much pride and ego, you end up going 100% the whole time and finally, if you don’t quit, by that point you have plateaued and watching the best guys in the room Who continue to get better and you realize that it’s not freestyle Sparring they get you better it’s situational drilling and incorporating the new techniques into your sparring sessions the first time you learn them. Each time you train you tell yourself not to go to your favorite go to move that you know you can pull off, which will discourage you from relying on something you’re great at and become 1 dimensional and easy to defeat. Guys who learn to do 5 to 10 things well in every position are a handful. I got to get one move in this position that seems unstoppable, he’s not unstoppable to anybody other than his training partners. Always keep learning and I also want to say that you guys must participate in some wrestling before Sambo because you have incredible throws. I know Sambo has a lot of judo, but with all the Other techniques it seems you have focused on Greco Roman wrestling and[quite a bit too? Am I right or is it all from Sambo
