I was hoping this was a quarter mile event and probably been track records the way those door slammers from the south continent of the country would be an awesome event for the fans to enjoy. Good to see that place alive and hopefully it will be bigger and better by the time the Import vs. Domestic World Cup in the fall.😊
Those Huntsville Geezers down in Bamalama need to get their eyes checked out The only place he could have crossed was BETWEEN the cones and NO CONES MOVED So tell me how He crossed ?
@@beefcakejones1963 sure, whoever choose to run to whatever distance. NHRA for example, except for the nitro classes, runs 1/4 mile. Maybe the 1/4 mile sucks tough to people who run half a mile?
I will bet you 100 to a dollar a 1/8 mile racer will cut the Xmas tree down on a racer who runs a 1/4 because a 1/8 mile racer don't have a extra 660 ft to overcome a bad start
@@Byrdznyst you know, some of these guys have been around for a long time and just want to run their cars how they want to. Are 3.80s - 90s or 4.00s slow to PDRA or big outlaw race standards, maybe. Grant it, conditions were not optimal on a 90 degree night with high humidity. Where Does It State You Have To Run The Fastest To Have Fun?*

I believe you're referring to another MID - Maryland International Dragway.
@@MondayMorningRacerthat would be MIR not MID. Maryland International Raceway.

I live in Alabama, my first trip to Huntsville Drag Way was 60-years ago.👊😎🇺🇸

What kind of car is the grey primer one beginning
corvette
BWM
Why did the Lowmad team switch to Nitrous?
I was wondering the same thing
Some tracks outlawed blowers because of the noise. Fans and promoters like cars with mufflers.

This was in Montgomery, not Huntsville.
Does anybody run 1/4 mile anymore? 1/8th mile sucks
@@beefcakejones1963 sure, whoever choose to run to whatever distance. NHRA for example, except for the nitro classes, runs 1/4 mile. Maybe the 1/4 mile sucks tough to people who run half a mile?
Most all of the acceleration of the vehicle is done in the first 1/8 mile . Speed doesn't double !

@beefcakejones1963 well most of the acceleration of the race car is achieved in 1/8 mile !! take the speed it doesn't double in the 1/4 mile !
The cost to run 1/4 mile is Astronomical. 1/8 mile is not cheap.

Winning is the only way to have fun.
