Hello Sam. I know a young lady who was raped by two guys who spiked her drink and took her to their hotel room. She reported it, and the police dealing with the case already knew the two involved. It soon became clear that if she pursued the matter she would face exactly what you just described in court. She chose not to take it any further, her choice and something you have to respect, she was only a teenager at the time. No charges were laid and the two guys were left to go on their way. These days she's happily married with a couple of kids, but I sometimes wonder just how difficult it must be for her to carry that kind of stuff. I believe rape is among the most underreported crimes out there, listening to your story today...is it any wonder?
Saw a channel about Shrewsbury yesterday. Lot's of video inside the prison while it's empty as its out of use now.

@@RealPorridgePodcast it’s no wonder rape convictions are at an all time low, having too relive it in the courts, being interrogated by the legal profession to the nenth degree- absolutely disgraceful.Thankfully only ever did murder trials whilst in my limited time in court.

In my early years we did 2 years on the landings and then you could get a break on censors, gate, ecr and detail etc,then you went back to the landings and someone else got a break- all this has been gone for some years now.
