    My other half is up in HMP FRANKLAND struggling with his Autism and the fact that staff still don’t understand not to lie or mislead him. He’s in with some of the most dangerous people in the UK and he is a gentle soul just don’t BS him. Wish they were more like you.

      Autism is so complex they should put the screws through training for it around awareness. Hope he gets through his sentence without too much trouble. ❤

      I’ve been an officer for nearly sixteen years and in that time have probably had about one hour training in dealing with prisoners who have autism. We’re so underprepared and lack the knowledge to work with prisoners who need that extra care which is a massive failure of the system. I’ve had to do my own research to help me do my job properly and with empathy.

    My mom worked in the mental health sector since i was a child and she told us of a few older ladys who had been there 50 years for having children out of wedlock and said that it wasn't unusual back then

    When I first stated nursing in the early 80s before moving on to High care units I came access a number of women who were at the time deemed Moraly deficient for having children out of wedlock like you said born in the hospital or suffered mental health issues that were not understand at that time it Absolutely shocked and still dose to this day

    Watching your channel over the past few months, have to give feedback on this one, prob one of your best! love the use of a video clip to put some perspective and clarity on what you are describing. I start in one week and one thing that you have managed to get cemented into my head from watching you is 'dynamic security' ....so, as entertaining as your videos are and they help fill my time while waiting for my son to finish his swimming lessons, you have managed to educate me and give me a clearer perspective of the role beyond the glossy pictures and fancy write ups the recruitment team plaster all over Facebook. I just hope I will be working with others of the same calibre as you. (Not blowing your trumpet)

    Just a message to say you are a top bloke. Any prisoner would be honoured to have you standing guard. A man with a heart, a man that actually cares about proper process and a man that will listen to people and help where he can. A man that still FEELS, regardless of desensitised nature of the working environment he's been in for so long. The fact you can still smile and haven't become resilient to emotion is a true testament to the man you are and I salute you.

Love your video's your opening up a world that to most people is unfathomable.

    Mental health is one of the biggest issues we face these days,but unfortunately if you can't afford a decent mental health practitioner, you're pretty much on your own. Many years ago after having my second child,failed relationship, I knew that I wasn't well and was informed by my GP that someone in my financial situation couldn't afford the help that I needed and he suggested trying my luck going through the Yellow pages. Things luckily are out there for young mum's struggling now,but I will never forget leaving that surgery with my three year old and new born,in absolute despair. Fortunately I got through it and now I have two strapping big boys and best of all I am going to be a Nanna in August 😊🎉

    There seems to be a bit of an outrage,and has been for a few years now,about a certain prisoner who has been held in CSC’s for over 10 years,he was initially put there after stabbing 3 screws in Frankland. Now,I’m an ex prisoner myself,but old school, and know full well that doing such a thing you must expect this sort of treatment throughout your stretch ? Thoughts Sam ?

    • @mikedaveggie9955
      @mikedaveggie9955 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know exactly who you’re talking about, he’s been TX’d from my place this week. His claim that he reacted in self defence in the incident at Frankland holds a little less water when he actually chased the female officer down the landing to assault her.

    • @gary_248
      @gary_248 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Apparently “racism” was involved in it all,but yeah like you said,to actually chase her along the landing and continue seems a bit extreme. Expect to be out of circulation for a very long time,regardless of the jury’s verdict and can have no complaints imo
