I saw a comment talking about how stiff Luke was and how he didn't seem excited. Imagine someone you look up to and watch on TV everyday showing up at your house and giving you a ton of stuff that costs quite a bit of money. Luke is a really humble person who has worked for everything he has and is not used to people giving. This was an absolutely beautiful video and I already know this is going to turn Luke into that fun grandpa that builds toys for his grandkids (when the time comes.) excellent video John.
"Touch your stuff!!" That needs to go on a T-shirt 😂😂😂 Nicely done sir, nothing makes me happier than seeing people help other people. It happens too rarely with all we have. When the goal is to allow the rising tide to lift all ships, amazing things are created ❤❤❤
Yeah this is better than the TH-cam videos where some creators destroy expensive items. This act will affect this individual for the rest of their life.
John ! You are now my new HERO !! I think it’s an excellent gesture to give this Man His Workshop Dream !! You’re a GOOD MAN JOHN MALECKI !! Most people are all talk !! You my Friend put Action to your words!! I’ll be watching your cast with new eyes !!!!
This was really nice of you to do for this guy. He seems like a regular hard working dude and family man. And those don’t the credit they deserve in this day and age. Well done.
John: "Do you know why I'm here?" Stranger he just met: "No" John: "Maybe you should go get your wife" Not how I woulda done it, but I'm also not 6' 2" and an absolute chad.
Thats pure gold John...I mean, that's life changing stuff right there, you got a special spot in heaven for this deed.. super happy for this guy, it's how dreams come true...
Best video of yours, John! I’m so proud to know you! Luke is a great guy and he has been so supportive of the online maker community. He is so deserving. Good job guys!
1) you couldn't have found a better recipient- seems like a great dude, just a normal guy with a garage shop that looks cluttered and lived-in (like most of us); 2) the tools are fabulous, but just the input on laying out the garage better given your experience is incredibly valuable.
i've been following John for 7 years.. i've seen every video and i really love those.. But this one is so special.. Really heartwarming.. Thanks John.. You're a legend. Greets from Belgium
We need more of this in the world! John and the crew certainly picked the right people for the dream workshop. Absolutely fantastic video and that is some lifechanging stuff for Luke.
Incredible. I barely ever like/dislike YT videos and never comment. But I had to leave a comment on this. Heartwarming and emotional at times. Such an incredible gesture . John, you are such a great woodworker and good all-round guy. If you're ever in the UK, I've got a single-car garage that could do with similar treatment, it'll be half the price!!
John this is awesome this is one of the reasons I follow your channel not only for great advice but also it gives people the opportunity to take on those projects they always wanted to do with confidence. You change this man’s life forever. Thank you
For a lot of us who can't afford a lot or who are givers, this is a big deal. It's so hard to be given things and not work for them yourself. I'm sure Luke had a hard time accepting all that you did for him and his family, but thank you for doing it! Wonderful and selfless people do exist. Merry Christmas!
That’s freaking awesome man. I’m so happy for Luke and his family. You’re a very good person John god bless you and your crew and Luke and his family. It seems like he was very deserving of it and I’m glad it’s happening for him
This is why I watch your channel. You recognize hard working people in our country. Luke and his family are examples of why America is awesome and great. I loved this video! Thank you for sharing it with us.
Watching you over all of your channels you do so many things! Thank you for making this man’s day it looks like it meant a lot to him. Your team put together something great in those video. If you ever need to make content in Northern Alberta Canada I have a place for you to stay.
John, you and your team have me in tears! Your gift was awesome! Your choice of Luke was phenomenal! Your heart is so big. Every one of your videos are awesome, this one just proved it! Keep on doing exactly what you do! ❤️⚓️❤️
You rock John! It was so cool when you showed up and find out he was watching one of your videos. Luke is a true fan and really deserves this awesome shop.
Love the true reactions. You can tell he's not acting. Not screaming, jumping or doing weird stuff. Just real emotions (he really looks like John's little brother)
Awesome! I love watching your vids but mad respect to you all for helping another fellow woodworker. For as Long as you guys keep on doing what you doing you got to subscriber for life.
John and team, I have enjoyed your videos ever since I found your channel. But now I have a new respect for all of you for what you did for this gentleman. I hope you all have continued success in your futures.
I honestly couldn’t imagine a better person for such a gift. This dude really seems like a positive influence to everyone who knows him.. I have a new level of respect for you and your crew John, you guys are awesome man.
Looks really well deserved! The shop before was good and functional, I feel like he was a bit embarrassed about the mess but it's nothing compared to most of our messes, don't look in my garage! 😅
Malecki you magnificent bastard. Someone else said it, but it needed to be repeated. A follow up video definitely needs to be done. Congratulations Luke! Sorry to put the pressure on you, but we expect great things from you now. Malecki, I have a newfound respect for you. Way to go my friend.
Besides changing a family’s life entirely, this video is geared towards what I believe is the majority of people- small spaces that suck. Seeing the Jet dust collection that doesn’t take up the entire wall, and the way that a space can be better optimized for a user. This is a much better video than another pallet of returns. Bravo John and crew
What an awesome thing you did for Luke and his family! And a great video! I’m going to have to plan a trip to Ohio just to visit that hardware store.😮. 👍🏻👍🏻
Seriously tho... I can only imagine the hapiness going through Luke during this all. This is why I will always love watching this channel... I know there's a business behind the video, but the fact that John includes making people happy in his videos says a ton. I've always wanted (still do) to start building things, and learned how to run cnc and laser cutters and even tried to start my own business. Sad part was I got laid off 10 months ago and just haven't recovered... one of these days I'll start making myself and living my dream. Until then, I'll enjoy seeing how awesome John is and how happy the people around him are.... Well played to John and his team!
I Have so much respect for you and your team. To do what you have just done is such an unbelievable thing to do. Luke was just a stunned mullet (great Aussie saying look it up) the whole time he was on camera, so good to see a genuine reaction. Well done John and team.
Great video! I grew up in Canton, my dad was an amateur woodworker and all around DIYer. I remember many Saturdays driving past a half-dozen hardware stores on the way to Hartville Hardware. That place has been a woodworking Mecca for decades.
Ahhhh, the joys of woodworking in the north. It's 5 below zero at the moment, and I've got Christmas presents to finish in the garage today. Great video. He seems very deserving of all that. Make sure you film more videos at that hardware store.
I’m a disabled firefighter who loves giving back to the community and helping others. Being on a budget I’ve struggled with buying equipment for my shop needed for wanting to start up a TH-cam channel to help support myself and give back to others. I buy most my stuff from other on marketplace or other sites. Some things I buy new as I can. I have some old machines that gets me by until I can eventually replace them. With that said they probably are safety issues. My goal is to replace my bandsaw, buy a benchtop 12” jointer, and upgrade my planer with a helical head to speed up my milling process. I’m sure that someday I will get there. I know many beginner woodworkers start out like this. I’m sure many struggle to meet their goals and if I was able to help I would definitely do the same. Someday I will be like you guys and pass it forward. I really appreciate this video and you guys are amazing and I will continue to support your channel always! Merry Christmas everyone!!
John, I seldom comment on videos, but thoroughly enjoy watching your content. Simply put, this is awesome, and you’re a stand up guy for doing this. We need more generosity and good will like this in the world. Thanks and keep up the great work. We’ll all be watching and can’t wait to see what you do next.
I love all of your videos, however this was one of my top 5 favorites. You and your teams generosity and care for this gentleman was absolutely awesome. Great work by all of you.
Im totally blown away, If I saw John at my front door I would have shat myself. Great Vid! I know Luke prolly played and touched every thing all night long. Way to go John
The genuine excitement in Lukes eyes, it was like watching a kid in a candystore. Love how flabbergasted Luke got every time you showed him a new tool that was for his shop.
Luke seems awesome. Shopping around for a gift to give someone is nice. But putting your time in, crafting a gift for someone in your shop is something special. Y'all gave the right dude his dream shop 🤘
I’m so happy for this guy. This will change his life. Someone helped me get started 6 years ago and I have a successful business now making enough so my wife can stay home with our 3 yr old. This is HUGE!!!!!😊
I know with all the new tools Luke will keep up the good work for the Community. I actually look forward to Saturdays knowing there is a new video coming from John and the gang.
As they say pay it forward. You are a straight up American man! I love watching your projects and what you did for him he will never forget. I’m a local guy from New Castle PA and have always wanted to come visit your shop. Maybe someday it could happen.
Here’s what I liked - you didn’t trash all his existing stuff and create some kind of monument / showroom workshop. Having his FIL toolbox integrated made me tear up a little - my dad bought me a Craftsman toolbox and rolling cabinet way back in the day when we bought our current house and I will never part with that. The parts of my workshop that I have set up so far replicate my dad’s. The best gift I ever received was my dad’s time and him teaching me how things work and how to repair instead of replace. Here’s to all the dads (and moms) who do that for their families and friends! And how can we support Luke and the lacrosse league? My kids played ice hockey so I know how expensive sports can be and Luke mentioned they run the program.
Please plan a 6 month or 1 year follow-up on Luke. I'd love to see how much this has helped him
This!
Yeah I'd like to see that too
Yep
Yes
Yes do this
That dude was literally in shock the entire time! You guys picked a good winner. The nice, selfless guy.
Luke is a local guy, I met him a couple years ago and there is no one more deserving this than him.
Congrats Man!
I saw a comment talking about how stiff Luke was and how he didn't seem excited. Imagine someone you look up to and watch on TV everyday showing up at your house and giving you a ton of stuff that costs quite a bit of money. Malecki you magnificent bastard. This is amazing. You f'n nailed it.
"Touch your stuff!!" That needs to go on a T-shirt 😂😂😂
Nicely done sir, nothing makes me happier than seeing people help other people. It happens too rarely with all we have. When the goal is to allow the rising tide to lift all ships, amazing things are created ❤❤❤
Love this, shout out to the awesome wife for nominating him.
Straight up respect for you John. Total act of kindness and giving back to a well deserving member of your community. Great video!
Well done.
Best John Malecki episode yet. So good
Now this put me in the Christmas spirit.
John: "Do you know why I'm here?"
Stranger he just met: "No"
John: "Maybe you should go get your wife"
Not how I woulda done it, but I'm also not 6' 2" and an absolute chad.
😂
He used to play for the steelers. He 100% said that line like that on purpose 😂
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Thats pure gold John...I mean, that's life changing stuff right there, you got a special spot in heaven for this deed.. super happy for this guy, it's how dreams come true...
The kids freaking out in the background is absolutely adorable, they must watch the channel with their dad. :)
Best video of yours, John! I’m so proud to know you! Luke is a great guy and he has been so supportive of the online maker community. He is so deserving. Good job guys!
i've personally met luke countless times and he's a fantastic dude! well deserved for sure!
This has to be the coolest thing I have seen on the channel!! Keep up the good work Sir.
John Maleki...you're a good man. ❤
1) you couldn't have found a better recipient- seems like a great dude, just a normal guy with a garage shop that looks cluttered and lived-in (like most of us); 2) the tools are fabulous, but just the input on laying out the garage better given your experience is incredibly valuable.
Couldn't have happened to a more deserving guy 👍
This has to be one of my favorite videos. His heart was so happy you all did this for him ❤
i've been following John for 7 years.. i've seen every video and i really love those.. But this one is so special.. Really heartwarming.. Thanks John.. You're a legend. Greets from Belgium
I love it Malecki!! I love giving to others! Making dreams come true. I get choked up . SUPER COOL!! I agree on a follow up.

John and team, excellent job! You have motivated me to clean my shop. Ain’t no way I’m doing it today, but you did inspire me. Great job, fellas!
Awesome to hear John! That’s a great thing congratulations Luke, lucky guy!! He’s just the next town over I’m 15 minutes from Louisville in Ohio!!
Another banger Mr Malecki. You are an amazing person with such a big heart. Congrats Luke, enjoy
I'm not crying. You're crying!
You really made that man's life, better.
Way to go team Malecki!

I like how Luke somewhat resembles John. Do all men in their 40's look alike? Great content.
John is only 36
It’s a Midwest thing… like the second fridge in the garage.

John you and especially your team are awesome and talk about a deserving guy and what a wife to set him up like that!
Amazing video guys! love it how he was smiling through the whole video while seeing his new shop.

Fucking hell John, that face he made when you told him, made me feel my feelz ❤
Merry X-mad everyone
Perfect Video for the holidays! John you are a Saint!
I’m so happy for this guy. This will change his life. Someone helped me get started 6 years ago and I have a successful business now making enough so my wife can stay home with our 3 yr old. This is HUGE!!!!!😊
You need to check out Brookside Lumber in Bethel Park!
This is awesome... you rock John!!!
Awesomeness 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Best video you've done all year. This dude seems like best version of a dad. Mad respect for Luke and all he does.
Ahhh Hartville, we used to go there on the weekend with my parents, good memories
I know with all the new tools Luke will keep up the good work for the Community. I actually look forward to Saturdays knowing there is a new video coming from John and the gang.

Luke must have had so many "am I dreaming?" moments during all of this. I know I would have. John, you are a great guy for doing this.
