Wow! Very nice to take apart one of these, that's another techie video of yours, only this time with a nice touch of entertainment to it.
Now I can get back to my childhood memories, when I used to disassemble everything - only then I was not that often smart enough to put it all back correctly... hehehe...
Cheers!
While changing motors i forgot to make note of which color went where on the soldering points on the board, this saved me some trouble. Also moved the red/amber leds to the rear, green to the front. Thanks for posting.
Well I started disassembling mine in an attempt to fix the short in the light board of a brand new out of the box X5C-1. A WARNING to anyone getting a new x5c-1: The molded Star shaped piece is now molded in one piece around the propellers. There are no longer 4 individual pieces around the motors. I almost broke mine trying to get it off before I figured out it was 1 piece. So you do now have to remove the 12 screws surrounding the blades and remove the blades and remove the crash guards if you want the copter to separate into 2 pieces.
Just received my 2nd 'Red' X5C-1 and the part numbers (shown in manual part code # 01 and # 06 [pp11] are molded as one upper cover piece. Be real careful in removing 25 screws b4 seperating the two body halves. Note the description for part # 06 in parts code list is INCORRECT, should be "transmission cover" If your 'Red' X have four of them. 01-09-15. The box was rec'd yesterday and the box had been crushed, one prop shaft bent approx 3-4 degrees off center. Removed the motor from mount and grasped the shaft with pliars, bent back to a close zero. we'll see. , Its all in the fun.
That was great. Could you go into detail about the camera. I am curious of composite video might be tapped into
to feed a 5.8Ghz transmitter
thanks
Ken
Thanks. This is very helpful.
I need to take mine apart because a motor stopped working.
Nice nice tutorial Thank you,,, but I have a question do you think I can put my own receiver and use it with different transmitter???
Is there a way to bind this to a programmable radio or any other way to modify the firmware? I would like to have more control over how far it will TIP and flipping in both directions at the same time.
Flipping diagonally would be fun or roll while doing a backflip. You can make this happen if you tap the button to FLIP then tap just the right time to ROLL.
syma quadcopters are VERY easy to work on. ive just replaced the upper body on my x8w because it was damaged it was really easy!!!!
my motor stop working i order new ones and trying to take it apart but i just cant get the cover off! trying to replace new motors!
I have two of these. One will not fly beyond a foot of the ground. I tried the reset but that was no help. It is a very silly copter.
Question So ther only have a Power Distribution Board ther is no flight control and ESC ?
I need help, I crashed mine, and now whenever I turn the copter on, the motor on the bottom left (this is with the power switch facing you) turns on at full speed. I did not touch the throttle, in fact, the remote is off. I thought maybe the circuit was damaged and had the motor wires touching something coming straight from the power source, but nothing looked weird inside. Everything was symmetric. I have no clue what the problem is, but the copter is unflyable. If anyone has any clue as to what is causing this, and/or how to fix it I would greatly appreciate any help.
By the way, after a while, the motor slows to a stop, but if I push the throttle up at all, it turns on at full speed again. The other motors work fine and do what the remote tells them to do.
does anyone know the part number of the board inside?
My quadcopter drone toys circuit board wire is broke please sir solution
This is NOT a teardown. You simply removed the cover then identified, in detail, the microchips. There are other components to disassemble.
I dropped my copter in water as it crashed into a pond and it flew for one more flight. I went to fly it again and now you give it throttle and it flips over or stops responding until I let off the throttle and only stays on for a few seconds. Does this mean the battery is bad or the pcb?
Could even be a bad motor or motor wire since if 3 motors were running up and one wasn't that would through things out of whack.
Well I broke the top shell so the motors were too far up and reset the controller and it was fine
It still doesn't work
Now I can trash the drone and put a camera on a RC boat
Also this is the Cheap way of doing it
U az kid took ur toys apart I beat like me 😁
Who cares about the chip numbers? What are you going to sell them to the Chinese? You can buy a complete harness with circuit board for around $4.00.
