Adams Falls Hike near Grand Lake, Colorado

  • This was our second hike of the day, so we did a quick jaunt up to Adams Falls to see the raging runoff. Man was that awesome and so powerful! Probably the craziest waterfall I have visited so far, with it being cut into the hillside like it is, making for a treacherous viewing experience and nearly impossible for photography with it's current flow. Well worth the extra effort after a longer morning hike.

      @@elevatedarchives The southern part has some beautiful hills but up here its very flat. Lots of good rich soil. Thank you

    Those are some violent falls. Not the ones you want to slip and fall into. Looks like a meat grinder down in those rocks.

      That does not surprise me at all, only the one guardrail at the top.

      @@elevatedarchives Plus being able to drop down and walk right up to the wet/slick edge. Freakin thing drops right off.
