- These 8 young juniper belong to a client of mine who asked me to transform them into bonsai.
Junipers are great for bonsai and great for beginners. Here are some tips on what to do with young junipers and how to make them into a bonsai
Please note: if you located in Melbourne, I provide bonsai services. Reach out to me on my email address at bonsaiworx@gmail.com if you would like to discuss you bonsai needs further.

Really love your videos. My husband and I watch them to relax.
This was a perfect vid for me as im workin on little kishu junipers . Thanks great work
This was so insightful! These were difficult trees and you did a great job designing them!
Great work really made them into nice trees David 👍
Hello, like the way the tree is coming out !
Thanks David great video once again enjoyed watching 🇬🇧😊❤️
Wow, the fast forward part of the wiring of the tree is very cool. You should do that more often.
Great work David. Literally every outcome surprised me. The only one I didn't like, was the formal upright...the owner should have just let you do your magic. Cheers for the good content.
Love your work. I always watch your videos when I need inspiration. Great job.
So talented i understand why ppl go to you, 8 realy nice results whit what you had to work with i wish i could wire like that
Thank you ! looks great bruv! Anytime I try to bend to anything that much i break or snap something every time😂 I just picked up 4 and 6 mil wire for some bigger stuff I've been meaning to start working on.
Really great video. Enjoyed the different junipers with their start and finish. The one time-lapse was really cool too.
Nice work. Easy when you know how!
Oh and I will follow the potash tip for my wisteria that was not flowering, again thanks.
Bravo, well done!!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻need lo be mire creative with mine 😅
A nice transformation 👍
Very informative. I must get around to trying out your ideas. Cheers. 👍👍
Fantastic fun video!
Nice twisted trunk & triangle canopy
Man, 5:20 that looks nice. Well done.
21:48 The shape turned out quite nice. I'm just a bit curious about the angle of the wiring on the main trunk. My bonsai master always points out to me that the wiring should be at about 45 degrees. Look like your wiring is much less than 45 degrees, it seems.
Yes this helps protect the trunk from splitting when I put big bends into it. Almost acts like raffia.
Can you remember the varieties of junipers… every time is see a juniper in the nursery growing straight upright I run away, but now I’m thinking after this video those are the fun ones to try to shape.
There weren’t any labels on the pots when I picked up trees from my client.
BEST VIDEO EVER…!
THANK YOU SO MUCH..!!!!! ✅❤️🙏🏼🙌🏼🌟🌱
Thanks
Great work Dave. Do you sell these for pickup in Melbourne? So many years of skill that you demonstrate.
Thank you. These trees are owned by my client and I just do the work to transform them.
@@Bonsaiworx thanks David for responding. So I can bring a tree to you and you will work on it? Is the best way to arrange via your email?
Could you not bury the trunk to get more roots developing higher and then cut off the thin trunk.?
Where do u find your bonsais in Melbourne?
There are quite a few bonsai nurseries in Melbourne. These trees belong to a client and he said he just got them from local normal nursery.
Dude you're a magician with wire!! Keen to smash my blaauws now 😆
Looking a bit cold there 😂
👍👌🍎👌👍
Young? Lol looks like 10 to 15 year old trees but maybe that is young for some ppl
These are garden centre trees which would be 5 years usually.
