    I watched about 5 minutes and subscribed. I've always had a fear on how much of a trimming the tree can take. Now I'm more confident to go ahead this fall and re-watch this about 50 times over the summer :-) I love your relaxing way of presentation. Cheers from New England USA.

    Congrats on reaching 50 videos, guys! I am a big fan of the quality content you produce. It’s really helpful for me, a beginner, not just to know how to do something, but when it’s right to do it. There’s lots of content available from overseas but yours is more relevant to me as we’re in the same part of the world. I came to visit the nursery in the summer and came home with a great little shohin sized deshojo, so I’d love it if you could put some content out around how to over-winter a small outdoor tree like this. Keep up the enthusiasm, it’s invaluable stuff!

    Congratulations - 50 already! These videos are slick, organised and clear. Your so focussed on the trees, their health and development and passing on your skills and knowledge in a very, concise and easy to understand language. The balance for the viewer is just right, well for me at least. Did some classes at Greenwood back in the early 90's with your dad. Still have those leaflets for the years' workshops and camps! Managed to visit and speak with Paul earlier this year, very patient, both of you. Keep up this brilliant work. Hope to visit again, soon.

    Hi Corrin, congratulations on your 50th video. I have enjoyed every single 1. This has intrigued me as I’m totally useless at juniper & pine bonsai. What I would like to know/see is your vision as to where the style of this tree will be in 2 years when you wire it. I look at this tree & don’t see much future in it. I look at some of the branches after you have trimmed them & think the foliage is way to far from the trunk to be of any use but you have left it for a reason. You obviously know before you start you work on a tree the finished image your aiming for but is it possible for you to draw your vision of another tree before you start any work on it in the future. I would’ve mercifully cut off way to much if this was my tree & been left with a mess.

    • @greenwoodbonsaistudio
      @greenwoodbonsaistudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There is plenty on internet about this, here in the UK most twin flush pines don't do 2 flushes due to our short growing season. So most are treated more the same as single flush

    Thanks, Corin, another great video. I have recently acquired a juniper (possibly an Itoigawa). It was a bit neglected and very pot bound so I moved it up a pot size and have been keeping it in part shade, watering with dilute seaweed once a week. The colour is improving. Is it OK to do this kind of pruning now on a tree at this stage or should I just leave it until next year?
