Great review. Just ordered a R20 today to go on a SC2 Sport I also ordered today. Just have to wait for the Asher button boxes to become available. Keep up the great work.
I bought this wheel hoping to have the perfect all-in-one solution for formula cars and other racing cars like GT3/E etc. For that the diameter is a bit too much should be 1-2 cm smaller. The grip though is perfect. My conclusions and experience with it: - Perfect for lighter and less sophisticated open wheelers, like Skip Barber or Formula 4 - Grip and feel is one of the best I ever had - Not usable for heavier racing cars, if you spin, the open section on top is quite dangerous and can hurt you in spin/crash situations - Not usable in cars where you have harsh corrections sometimes, like fast countersteering (e.g. in slower streetlike race cars like Mazda MX5) - Podium Endurance module does NOT fit with this wheel (!)
hy Barry, have you already seen the "DimSim Steering Whell R1"? It's a formula/gt3 style rim sold by DimSim, a russian guy. I am currently building my Simucube2 wheel around that, would be great to have your opinion on it. Thanks :)
I emailed Turn Racing and am trying to get Zach to customize this same wheel, I want him to cut the bottom out so that the bottom of wheel is like the top of wheel...I think that would be sweet!
I don't think I have a single best. There are a few that I prefer though. OMP Superquadro, Fanatec F1 wheel, Turn R1 and now R20, Ascher's new F28, and probably F64 because they both have the same grip, Sportline 300mm Competition. That list may grow as I get to try others. A wheels grip is a very personal thing, I'm sure some would not agree with my list.
Hey. Im a bit new to the channel. Mind if I ask what motion system you are using? I had thought it was the NLR v3, but it seems to move the full cockpit in this video
If I was looking for a good all around road racing wheel, would this be too big for open wheel? Trying to find something that works for GT racing and open wheel racing, but I mainly race open wheel.
I understand the quality bit it seems to me a bit expensive .. in Italy you can find a momo mod27 (which I own from 290mm) or a 27c for 160 euros, without holes
@@simracinggarage3026 thanks so much! I ordered my R20 today. I was a little confused by your review as you had the horn button on yours which is for the R20H, but the wheel you showed was definitely the R20 as the R20H has a large hole cut out of the center, hence the horn button. Or maybe they just sent you this for the review for cosmetic purposes?
Barry, thank you for what you do its very much appreciated!

Love to see a review of Turn Racing’s new RS3 TCR modular button pod and shifter system
WOW. I wish I could give you 2 thumbs up man. One for the review and the other for the epic driving.
Well done!!!
Please give us a setup tour of what you use personally
Once again, liking before watching.
You have to stop releasing these right around the start of the F1 races, now I have two things to watch at the same time! :D
I have the Turn R1 and I think it's one of the best Steeringwheels for GT3 racing out there :)
Yes, I keep going back and forth on which one I prefer.
Not just GT, it's also awesome for open-wheelers imho :)
The Turn R1 is my favorite wheel.
@@sillydrivings4622 correct :)
Hit the thumbs up button in the first 5 seconds as usual :D
Does this wheel fit the Simagic GT 1 button box?
@@Craigo87 I would think so
Ordered one tonight!

Hello does this wheel fit my cammus DD button box? Any idea?
You are my own personal Jesus Christ. That and I love your reviews.

Barry I must ask what is the best feeling steering wheel you have ever used period in terms of grips

Sim Racing Garage gotcha 😉
Rim's weight? I ask 'cause there's no info in Turn R's pages either.
752 grams. The R1 is 796 grams.
@@simracinggarage3026 Thanks, could be that I buy one at some point. Althought I would use it just with Fanatec stuff.
Anybody have the weight of the R20 wheel? I did not see that detail in the product description.

I use this size for both and don't have any difficulties driving either class. This is subjective of course.
Just passing to leave my like, see you
When will you be reviewing the DD1/DD2?
I am waiting for the official release of the Fanatec control software app. Seems only fair as the SC2 review was done with their new "True Drive" app.
Sim Racing Garage Oh ok! Thanks.

Hi Barry - is your large Ascher button plate the C26?
Yes. C26L

This is indeed the R20. I am using the round Turn Racing logo carbon plate that is offered as an accessory.

Your mouth says small, but I heard medium! Nice edit :)
Nice catch. And here I was thinking no one really pays attention any more :)
Are these type of wheels PS4 compatible? Plz respond
No. Might be a hack out there that will allow you to do it.
@@simracinggarage3026 thanks for the info👍
(And great video)
Wow, want this for my dd2 !!!
