    I've had good success with Chem-X. But today didn't go so well. For some reason it was having trouble removing the road/traffic film on my truck. I had to remove it with some rinseless wash to get it fully clean.

      @@BelLavoroAutoSpa I work in an industrial location where I get hammered with all kinds of things, one of which will only come off with hot water. I have yet to use ChemX products. On a side note, a angle tip like a adjustable pivoting coupler attachment is great to do rims and under the rocker panels and using a pool noodle around the tip to rest inside the Rim you get great leverage with the wide open rims shooting up.

    I do the same and just do a real quick waterless wash when I am drying it to neutralize any chem left and put on some protection. I have also have done the claying with the waterless

    You might get more cleaning if you rinse off the low PH soap before applying the high PH soap. They will just heads towards becoming neutral when you mix them. That means it didn't get much cleaning from a high PH. If you rinsed off the low PH, the high PH would be able to do its high PH thing.

    • @BelLavoroAutoSpa
      @BelLavoroAutoSpa  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's the chemistry behind Stars & Stripes. When the two combine on the surface they do come to neutral but it creates what they call a "ph shock" that breaks the static/electrical bond of the surface with the dirt so it can be pressure washed away completely.

    Is there somekind of coating on that car. I got cq .uk 3.0 and i’m wondering if the star and stripe would damage my coating. That stuff look strong

    • @BelLavoroAutoSpa
      @BelLavoroAutoSpa  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No coating on this car, but have used safely on ceramic coated cars. Since you are not wiping the product into the surface, in my opinion it has minimal impact on the coating integrity. CQ is rated to resist the ph of this soap as well, and once you foam on step 2 it's back to ph neutral. CQ can also handle descale and lift which are similar on the ph scale to this product. Hope that helps.

    You got to try their snake oil. Was vary impressed with it. With stars and stripes how many cars can you do with a single full foam cannon

    • @BelLavoroAutoSpa
      @BelLavoroAutoSpa  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did, check out the video! 1 foam cannon usually enough to do 2 normal sized 4 door cars.

    Good morning. Curious if there was any issues at all? Some of that soap dwell'd for a bit... looks like it did a Fantastic job!! Take care

      None whatsoever. Rinsed off without a problem. Owner was so impressed he ordered some for himself that same day. Wash Chhms Pro 50 is where I have ran into issues with streaking and such, but it doesn't use a step 1 acid which is partly why. I've started using wash chems for wheel wells/undercarriage. Nothing beats Chem-X!

    Have you tried CG citrus wash and gloss? It is a high PH soap that foams really well. I think it would likely work just as well at about 1/3 the price. I wouldn't recommend it on coated vehicles though as it may take a big hit from a PH 13 soap.

    • @BelLavoroAutoSpa
      @BelLavoroAutoSpa  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have used it, it is good as a contact wash and smells great. However, as for a touchless wash, there is more at work with this system than just the ph levels. They are formulates to, when combined, break the static bond so that most if not all the dirt and grease can be pressure washed away. It's a really awesome system when used right and is perfect for when you want to get your car or truck cleaned fast after a long day.

      That's why you don't use more then 2oz. Says so on bottle anymore more then 2oz will stop away any wax or sealants.

    That spray nozzle is a little to close for my liking :) but I like the wheel chocks so your hose don't get stuck under the wheel.

    Nice video. You should apply the foam from the bottom up to maintain the same concentration level on the vehicle. What falls off first is replaced from the top falling down. It’s a science thing not a critical step

    I hate when they do video like this and they rinse the car first bottom and top last ,like really start from top!

    • @BelLavoroAutoSpa
      @BelLavoroAutoSpa  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There is a reason to do bottom to top, so that you don't miss any spots. When rinsing after a hand wash, top to bottom is fine to get the soap off. When doing touchless, the goal is to let the pressure washer do the cleaning. If you miss any spots they will look terrible after it dries!

    • @marambula
      @marambula 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      that makes sense. top to bottom is for hand washing and for it’s own specific reasons of preventing low panel grit from scratching and marring paint.
      Your explanation for bottom up with this NO TOUCH system is a solid explanation for why and makes sense that it would clean better too.

    • @bryantoribio9112
      @bryantoribio9112 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@-d.b.m.1962 when you rinse top to bottom you wet the whole panel before hitting it with direct pressure and it washes off all soap with it, the panels needs to be hit directly with the pressure washer to knock off the road film, going bottom up is almost like a marker of where you have hit with direct pressure and where you haven't , since it won't wash away the rest of the soap with it..
