Thanks for this video, it was very informative and just what I needed. I enjoy watching his videos and have been on the fence about buying his products. I live in Alaska and own a business and have a fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment I like to keep clean. I have a employee who only does detailing weekly on my fleet and I would like to make his day a little more productive and less labor intensive with these products. Also nice truck and RTT! I almost bought the freespirit odyssey but ended up getting the high country 80 with insulation for my rig! I have it mounted on a custom mount a fab shop built so the top of the tent lines up with the roof line me on the back of my ram 3500 long bed! I look forward to more videos from you!
These chemicals will work great for your fleet! Love the RTT with the custom rack idea! If you want to see more camping and outdoor videos, I just posted my first video on my personal channel.
A couple things I noticed. First, the Stars and Stripes are not a foamy soap. The do go on runny no matter the foam cannon. Second, you should rinse from the bottom up and about 6-12 inches away from the vehicle. You have a low pressure power washer so it shouldn't hurt the vehicle. Last, super sweet truck and racks!!!
Correct! A reason the foam could be runny and not very thick is because of the small pressure washer. One with bigger output would create better foam. Rinsing from the bottom to the top then top to bottom to get all the soap off!
In the first place you don't need foam, you need a proper lather that sits on the surface. Secondly you enough gpm for and right gauze and orifice size. After the lather rinse from bottom to top, so you can see what area is rinsed. Snake oil from bottom to top.
The soap is designed to be used with a bigger pressure washer with more psi @ 3000 or more and @ 3.5 at minimum on the gpm. GPM is more important to get the good foamy foam.
You're right it is! I was at my parents house when I filmed this video so I used the little pressure washer they had at their house while I was visiting. It definitely foams more with a bigger machine! Thanks for your comment!
@@ballboyzdetailing yes sir. I seen someone give a bad review on one of their products before on TH-cam and I found out that's what happened with them. There's more science to everything than we realize lol.
I use Stars and Stripes 3.2 GPM at 1800psi. No issues. Over 700 vehicles in the last 23 months Your foam quality makes the biggest impact on how well the soap cleans. Not the size of the wash pump.
I would recommend it. As you can see in my video I have hard water and to prevent hard water spots and damage I would recommend drying the vehicle. If you have a spotless water system you wouldn’t have to dry it. The Snake Oil would allow you to blow dry the car off if you’d rather do that
Nice video review. I have been watching his videos, as a detailer for a long time I have been skeptical of the touchless wash systems. This SEEMS to work great. I am going to have to try it. I am in Idaho as well over in middleton and my truck is filthy right now just like yours but worse LOL! It may be a good time to try it. ALSO M shine is perfectly safe on chrome!
You can get very similar results with a high PH soap such as CG Citrus wash and gloss just foam it and rinse x2 . Way cheaper. But wouldn't do either way on a coated vehicle, will seriously take away the longevity of your coating.
I personally am not a CG fan but that doesn’t mean they’re bad products! I agree definitely not for use on a true ceramic coating. For semi’s and big heavy equipment however this is a good option.
@@ballboyzdetailing CG products are definitely hit and miss. The citrus wash and gloss is PH 13 and foams really thick for a long dwell time. It is my go to for a really dirty vehicle that is not coated. It is only 30 to 35 a gallon and has really impressed me so far.
I agree. It still worked great the way I did it. I only did it this way to inspect how Stars and Stripes did. I do normally use it while the vehicle is still wet
You can get even better results in my opinion I get 100 same as a hand wash, i got my own dilution ratio is a little stronger depending how dirty is my car and it works better if you doesn’t rinse the vehicle, other thing don’t let let soak it work better if you rinse from bottom to top Immediately just right after you finish the second face
Yeah I got good results it just was a learning curve going bottom up and making sure I didn’t miss spots. There was so much dirt and mud I preferred doing a pre rinse just to get some of the stubborn dirt off. I didn’t let it soak for more than a minute. It worked great! I really liked how it turned out
I had no issue with them. They worked great! Just a runnier soap which I agree 100% is from the low pressure machine I was using. I have a bigger one but that small one was already set up
I dried it after the snake oil. The walk around before I applied the snake oil was a true test of capabilities of Stars & Stripes! There will be plenty of other videos coming using just Stars and Stripes without drying with a towel.

Thanks for the video man! This was helpful because I wanna buy the stripes and stars. This was a second and a final opinion for me 👌
Glad to help Jose!

Thank you! I was skeptical too but it really does work pretty good! Yeah I need to use M-Shine on the chrome to test it!
the thing that gets me is the prices, 52$ for 32oz bottle of snake oil but it's really good shit..
@@mw3gamer23 it is worth it! And a little goes a long ways
Man i really wish i could get this in australia i'd love to see how it goes!
Nice review and very thorough. Sounds like you’ve done some research also.
Thank you!
Can these be purchased on line and need a foaming gun.
The link to buy it is in the description of the video or you can Google -> Chem-X
You do need a foam cannon or downstream injector of some sort to apply it with a pressure washer

As long as you find something that works for you and you’re comfortable with, that’s all that matters!
How long did the snake oil spray on wash off sealant protection actually last?
They originally claimed 2-3 months, but now say up to 6 months.
In the salt and winter climate I think it’s hard to have it last 6 months. In the summer time I definitely think it’ll last 6 months!
Can we work on direct sunlight? For a Mobile detailer. Look cool.
I work in direct sunlight everyday as a mobile detailer. Just have to work fast and in small sections! It can be used in the sunlight!
Friendly note put tennis balls on all 4 of your tires so you don't get the line caught up. Cheep and easy
Good tip! I bought hose slides on Amazon after this but that’s a good idea
I think for the snake oil it was best for you to use when vehicle was still wet.

These touch-less systems need 2000+ psi and a relatively high gpm. I do fine using these products with a 2300psi 2.5 gpm machine.

If you dried it its no longer touchless you wiped off any road film left behind. Not a true test.
