Powerful! This video feels almost hypnotizing... in the best way possible. The most mysterious thing we could ever know is what we are looking for. It's so mysterious, it can't be known... not with labels. It's the unnameable presence which abides before any thoughts, ideas or concepts appear. I feel it deeply, Angelo. Thank you!
Your words are so well stated, your thinking so clear and methodical that it reaches me right to the heart. You are an immense help on this road that has often plunged into loneliness. Thank you for lighting the way, for giving courage, for helping me to stay on the hardest and simplest path. There is no word for what you are describing, yet you seem to find them all. 🙏
Thank you so much for this. I have had no experience of oneness, no samadhi, nothing at all, and cannot explain how "left out" I've felt, even that I probably don't deserve awakening. This was strangely reassuring, and I believe, someone to come back to whenever I feel that way, just to remind myself that such a feeling is just a thought. A huge thanks!
Nicely spoken Angelo! A thought can’t wake up! Spot on! The “I” thought can not wake up. Ramana is beaming with you speaking that which can not be spoken. Much peace!
Dear Angelo, It always feels like you are speaking directly to me. It's so weird and cool at the same time. Does getting kensho/waking up have to be so dramatic? Can it be subtle and gradual without the bliss/honeymoon that you often describe? Lately, everything just is how it is. There are stories, the seeking is upping its ante, yet there is awareness of all this. Seeking is noticed as the mega distraction the mind uses to pull out of the moment. Seeking is the addiction. Warmly, Caryn
Definitely not always dramatic , indeed it’s surprising in its naturalness and “not mystical-ness” often (see interview with Chris). However in my experience with working with people, at some point a distinct shift in identity seems to occur. But there is no reason to expect or anticipate “an event” bc indeed there is no event, the mental construct of time is where seeming events live and seeing clearly that construct as only thought is really what awakening is. It’s all quite paradoxical :))))
@@SimplyAlwaysAwake It feels like there is someone behind my eyes watching what is happening but also a second watcher watching the me behind the eyes looking out. I notice this a lot when driving the car.
@@carynroll4725 can you find a thought component to that when it occurs, like actually picturing your eyes, head, body etc? Only reason I ask is that is one way of avoiding the awareness trap (reifying awareness and this missing non-dual). It’s almost universally experienced for a time by practitioners.
Is there a change in your relationships with friends and family after awakening? If your reality is a direct reflection of your inner world then does this mean that everyone you come across going forward will reflect what you are feeling inside? Is everyone all of a sudden nice to you once you awaken or is it more of a gradual process? Or do relationships even change at all?
Relationships can certainly change but not always in predictable ways. You will feel far more than you did before and communicate differently at times. There can be quite a bit of adjustment and it is usually a gradual process.
@@SimplyAlwaysAwake thank you for always giving the best advice. You are still the greatest at explaining how to get the most out of life. Please keep the videos coming.
@@SimplyAlwaysAwake Do we ever reach a point after awakening in which thinking becomes completely unnecessary? I’ve experienced being awake for about a day and a half a few months back and everything that I seemed to be interested in studying and researching went out of the window. I had zero interest in anything I thought I wanted to learn about. That overwhelming sense of okayness took over and I felt what it was like to have absolutely no fears. Does the notion of wanting to keep learning new “material” things such as science or technology ever come back to where we would have to then consciously think about a certain subject to know more about it or does this sort of fade away and wanting to go deeper into the nature of reality become the only thing we care about which requires no thinking at all?
"I" can't wake up, because the "I" that's asks for awakening is not the real Being, which is eternal presence - permeating through everything in this consciousness field. It powers up the reality "we" see, as well as this "I" thinking it's asleep and needs to wake up. Awakening already is here right now. It's us. It's nature. We are of it, we're in it, as is everything else. There is nothing to wake up to, only a remembrance of what you are: not the body, not the mind. Pure awareness that which you are. Close the eyes and the world disappears, open them and an entire reality is created. This is it and it's right here.
This was so profound and so well explained. I heard from other teachers but your words described it in a way that convinced me to stop trying to understand it. I always feel that I haven’t done enough ground work and meditation and that’s why I don’t wake up.. but maybe life wants to wake up through me by just those questions you mentioned? Is the ground work (like mantra/breath meditation) for couple of years is required before delving into this kind of inquiry? If we are not grounded enough can we hold the awakening after it happens? Deepest gratitude for your amazing service to humanity!
It’s very common to experience a lot of fluctuation after awakening , going from feel quite present to feel more unenlightened than you were before 😂. One way of explaining is that the body mind needs that contrast to continue to integrate, dissolve fixating beliefs and resistance patterns etc
The mystery just leaves me incredibly unsatisfied and frustrated. There’s no clarity or release of suffering. There’s just a big fat “shit idk” and no clear path to figuring it out I feel like I’m trying to make 2+2=5
I recommend focusing on that first shift, with self inquiry and/or a one pointed approach. My book goes into great detail on this. After that first shift things change significantly in depth of experience and clarity. The awakening approaches playlist is the most direct here.
@@lucasmurphy740 you’re not wasting your time my friend, although I know it can feel like it for a while. Doubt mass is very heavy, but if you look close at it it’s always a thought.

If you admit to being totally asleep, you can wake up. We are already That, the Son of God, or whatever way it can be said. We are the Love, and also the one that is loved. Just know this and accept.
@@eladleshem3790 I think it’s reasonable to say Self/Awareness is the dreamer and in that way of speaking we are all the dream and the dreamer. This is a stage of realization I might call One Mind. I understand that the person can't wake up but knowing the illusion of person itself is awakening. Despite this understanding, I can't spend much time with myself but gets attracted with the content of illusion, knowing this is an illusion. How do you resolve this?
