Yeah. That looks cool in areas that are supposed to be forested, but where I live is basically a desert, and it's sort of unrecognizable now being such a lush coniferous forest. Trees growing right up through buildings and in the middle of roads too. It was much more accurate and true-to-life in 2020, at least in the area where I live.

I thought 2024 was supposed to have more jagged detailed mountains but all I see are videos with blurry rounded mountains. 2020 has more detail in the mountains. Major disappointment 2024. I think the trees make it look more accurate and the biggest thing I notice is that it feels like you’re coming in higher based on the perspective of the runway. I always feel like I’m too low in 2020.

By then, you should have the shit fixed, if the game is not yet performing as intended, its not fair to actually criticize it

@@TropicalTech They do need some downsizing, that's for sure. In my city (which has photogrammetry BTW) it generated a tree that stands 150 metres tall in the middle of town! I remain hopeful (I dug out some old screenshot from when I first installed FS2020 and it was extremely ugly), but there's still a lot of work to be done by Asobo.
For me its a lot better everything on my flights at 2020, the info presented on the mfs pfd is incredible. And the game is more havy yes but runs smother then 2024. My question is: will they let us install data at some point or will be streamed for ever. Ps: they could easely make a campeign menu with flight plans on it on 2020 but i guess that is not the same has charging outher 70 € for the same game, performing worse.

It looks good, trees change color, crops grow in fields and get harvested. The base ground textures only change very slightly, they probably need year round satellite imagery to get to that level
people who say msfs2020 looks better havent played it. period. it looks really good, the houses are insanely accurate the elevation is accurate. the lighting is really good. at times you have the feeling that it looks real. its a bit buggy with the new gamemodes but its certainly a better game and a better sim (if they add back livery / custom mod support which is not available due to streaming encryption) ffs a lot of whiny people in the comments
I have to agree with comments below - the 2020 scenery looks more accurate in many ways. To me, as far as the scenery goes, 2024 is a downgrade. If you had swapped the 2020/2024 titles I would have believed it.
What makes FS2024 amazing, is not slight graphics or landscape improvement, but on top of it, HDR. The HDR, with an OLED TV, in this game is incredible, and I tried many games (PC, PS5, Xbox) but none compares to what I see in FS2024 with and HDR display (Maybe only one game comes close and its Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered).

Are you sure you do not have the sims reversed? Your MSFS 2024 looks suspiciously like MSFS 2020, given the blue hue and the number, type and size of trees in the urban area. Your MSFS 2020 looks a lot like my MSFS 2024.
I think its dependent on location. Also the fact the trees are in spring makes them more vibrant (and accurate) compared to the generic ones in 2020. Biggest clue in this video is the aircraft window, the 2020 default a320 looks quite poor compared to 2024’s

Realistic my as3, in one of my mainland city in f2024 it's filled with green trees, and in real world is a freaking desert with 2 bushes maximum...
