We don't actually see him in Doom Patrol. Ans the movies he has been in aren't exactly main stream. This is more commercial and will get to more people. So we are happy to see him, what is it to you?

He was a great 90s film star and good actor which made the Mummies fun to watch! Tom Cruise could not revive the Mummies films.
Love Brendan. I think he gained weight when he lost confidence in his abilities and went through such trying times. Maybe this movie will give him the confidence to get back into shape? Either way, I'm glad he's working again!
He stepped back from his strenuous schedule because filming was taking a serious toll on his body. I imagine he stopped training intensely for roles and subsequently gained a few libras.
