I find the corkscrew is useful for other things, like untying really tight, tiny knots, or pushing a thread or string through a little hole. And also, when you do find you need a corkscrew, you need a cork screw. I used to dislike it, but I find it more useful in general than the screwdriver on the tinker which is only a screw driver.
I love the Cadet & also the Bantam, which is ultra thin with one spring - knife & combo tool. Most of my SAK's, generally tend to have just 'two springs' - like the Electrican, Spartan, Walker etc or sometimes three like the Camper & Hiker. For me, they offer the best balance for an EDC, overall. That Wenger Highlander, reminds me of the Tinker - fab EDC! It is also very simular to the Evo11. I clearly need to get a Wenger or two - haven't had one for years! 😉 A really nice selection Paddy 👌 Atb Gus 👍
I think your favorite Wenger you currently have is called the Highlander. It is fantastic. One of my favorites as well. I carried one all the way through junior high and high school and then into my freshman year of college. It’s seen a lot of use. And held up very well. Glad to see a video with Swiss Army knives! Yours look like there an excellent condition! Cheers!
A SAK pattern for every situation to McGyver your way out of it. The Wenger are rather new to me, as over here it were allways Victorinox's that were sold. I've seen some patterns lately and it's rather a shame they combined both companies. I really would like the chance to buy a Wenger pattern, but i do love my Victorinox's. Thank you Stephen.
It is easy to like both name brands, I have 91mm models more than other sizes, but the difference is so little it hard to tell between them. They might look the same but having ones the same size and different tools inside make them worth having if you like pocket knives.☘🥔🔪
My SWISS ARMY nailclip 580 is always with me, and I use it all the time. It is in the extra slot in my wallet. I EDC a WINKLER belt knife or a WINKLER Utility Crusher just about everyday. Have a great day
I have an old economy recruit, it has no toothpick or tweezer, carry it every day, great group of knives, the alox is really useful with its thicker blades, thanks for showing them!
84mm Sak are the BEST EDC choice 👌✨️ I'm carrying my Recruit for the last two days, Great Multitool !, I don't want to carry my Tinker Smoll because I'll feel that I'm Mcgyver 🤣🤣🤣 Walker, Waiter and Sportsman are great too , Also you can untie tight knots with the corkscrew ... Yeah, I'm not drinking since 2014
Sorry Paddy Jack Wolf knifes are a swindle, they are not worth more than $30 as there is absolutely nothing special about them besides the outrageous price. I'll take a $20 Rough Ryder Blue Micarta Wharncliffe Swayback over them any day as an example of superior budget priced top quality. I have over a lifetime amassed some 180 Victorniox SAK's of every size & shape ( 110 are the decorative scaled 58mm collectables ) & about 30 are in my EDC rotation. I am late to the Wenger party, only began collecting them in earnest in early 2021 . I had already a number of the Victorinox 85mm Delmonts & decided its time to buy some of the originals before they vanish into obscurity, got 5 x 85mm's so far and 4 new in box 65 mm Esquires & executive / evolutions & 5 of the even rarer 85mm Swiss Buck Wengers including one new in box with its paperwork ( a 3 layer Trekker ) & 2 mint condition ones that lack their boxes / paper work ( a Taskmate I & an Odyssey ) and one more each of the Taskmate I & Odyssey in used Grade A+ condition as EDC knives ). I pocket carry everyday a hybrid Silvertech scaled 58mm Midnite MiniChamp as my default keyring knife & always carry a larger knife when I go out - not just SAK's like the Huntsman, Farmer X, Climber , Pioneer X, 111mm Picnicker , Nomad, Rucksack & Forester but various size Rough Ryders, Buck 110's 112's Civivi & Kershaw flippers & lockback knives of various other brands & sizes. At home I usually have an 84 / 85 mm Victorinox, Wenger or Swiss Buck in my pocket at all times or a small sized Rough Ryder or Case knife and may or may not still have them in my pocket when I go out so I end up some days with 3 knives on me covering small, medium & large sizes , multi-tools or just single blades', however for an evening out I stick to my key ring SAK & just a single blade Gentleman's type of knife ( such as 93mm Alox Pioneer Solo or a 3" blade Case Copperlock knife or a 3'' blade Kershaw Leek ) & leave the multi-layer SAKs at home .
I'm sorry you feel that strongly ,what one did you buy that gave you such a bad experience. I truly love each one so far and find it hard to believe two knife lovers could be so far apart.if you give me the details I'll pass them to Ben and see if he can rectify them.atb paddy 👍🙏
@@paddyspotatopeelers2154 I have not bought a Jack Wolf, they cost over $250 - I can buy 10-12 Rough Ryders for that, likewise I wont buy a Microtech OTF for $700 when I bought a perfectly good OTF for $70, ditto for the Victorinox 1897 125th Anniversary clone for $500 when a Spartan costs around $30 by me & is twice as functional. Too many channels have been hyping up the Jack Wolf brand & it becomes a chain reaction with nobody daring to say " but the king is naked ! " ( the Kings new suit fable ) Take the Jack Wolf K9 knife , sells for between $275-$300, its a rather plain looking slip joint, less functional than a Victorinox Pioneer that costs $ 40 and is both smart looking, light & super durable. None of us really need a super hardened steel knife to open packages from Amazon & its not a collectable or special edition so why buy it just because of peer pressure?
Great collection Paddy! Love the 84 and 85 mm SAKs!
I like the walker because of the saw. It's not loaded down with a ton of tools. I also like the Huntsman, and a few others. Can't go wrong with a SAK.

It was your video I got the name for it and the commander.thank you.atb paddy
Nice collection Paddy, I always carry a Pioneer X with a larger knife.
The ‘pen blade’ on the Cadet is usually a nail file, rather than a blade….
OK you must have heard me! 😭😭😭

I enjoyed, Victorinox is My favorite brand out there. Thanks Paddy 👍

Swiss Army Knife is still the most practical pocket knife to carry.

Great review as always you are the best.😊
Beautiful show paddy 😜
Paddy, check out the Victorinox Alox Electrican, which I reviewed about 5 months ago now - great EDC!
I think you would love it 😉
Atb Gus 👍
I'm hunting for one already .my mate Dan will get one eventually. 👍
👍👍🤠🤠
