Oh my gosh I just realized who your mom is . This brought me to tears you guys hugging and the kids waiting for her at the end of the driveway that was so special
I have loved French country since my late 20’s, now 66 and my plans never came to life. But I have found your channel and will live my love for French country through your videos! Thank you so much for sharing ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ahh...talking about your Mother brought back memories of my mother and I. Oh how I wish I could play in the garden with her again. Enjoy every moment you can!
I too lost my mom in 2011 Karen. And we both know that nothing can fill that void. May I just add that what helps me is 2 engage in something that we BOTH loved dearly. I have turned the greenspaces around my home into an urban oasis. And it didn't happen overnight. Believe it or not I started when my baby brother passed a few years ago. What I have now cannot be expressed in a few lines. It literally takes my breath away. Hydrangeas, peonies, yarrow. The list goes on. I am only sharing this 2 say that 1) she is with u EVERY single day every step of the way. U just can't see her. And 2) doing something that the 2 of u enjoyed rather singular or together is a mindful way 2 keep her close. Peace and love.
karen catalano I also lost my momma 18 years ago in March 2001. She was 57 years old. It’s such a treasure to have our mommas. I always feel like she’s with me by my side. I miss her talks and hugs. Such a joy. Forever missed. From my heart to yours. ♥️♥️
Love, love, love your farmhouse decor!!! And love to watch you with your Mom! Reminds me of my daughters and me. I'm sure she is proud to see how you have made your home a haven for your family!
I’m a Londoner but moved to a Victorian farmhouse in Norfolk 5 years ago. I love mixing old English and French items but still far from finished. I’m lucky as the French coast is 30 minutes from London by train but about 90 minutes to Paris. I came across your website by chance and so glad I did. You are doing a fabulous job.
Oh my goodness! LOVE the mother-daughter bonding! And your mom looks so YOUNG! I will be visiting my daughter tomorrow, so this video whets my appetite for what we shall do together.
Oh my gosh...I was enjoying this for 2nd time, in anticipation of spring ( watched last year ) I enjoy your presentations so much, anyhow, I don't remember the bloopers at the end, but they're nearly MORE darling!! You've created such a lovely environment for your family to thrive. ❤
Finally found someone that's totally FRENCH farmhouse style! Thank you so much!! So hard to find entertaining, informative, and personable youtubers on this style. ❤
Enchante! I'm a new subscriber, you remind me of me when I had young children at home with a dozen projects going on at once! I'm sure your mom loved being part of it, she is lovely, I can see where you get your love of thrifting and homemaking. I had a wonderful mother in law who taught me the value of antique cloth napkins, flea marketing, a simple meal made special by the table setting and candles, creating a sacred space. It gives me hope that we are not losing the "feminine touch", the keepers of the hearth and home, it is often undervalued in our society. I have to admit, the bloopers at the end made me smile...I know you are creating a somewhat "perfect home", for a TH-cam followers, but it was a nice surprise at the end, it made me fall in love with your French Farmhouse Family.
I love your home. I love that you take your time to refurbish when you can so you get the look you want. I'm so looking forward to seeing that window reno. We've been in our home for 30 years and have slowly been making the improvements we want. Its so awesome watching the transformation and to know we did it ourselves.
Loved that your mom didn't make it down the driveway before the hugs began. Loved the pussywillows. My dad cut them every year for my mom. I live in ME now but grew up in Door Co. and suspect the blue flowers may be mayflowers (Hepatica). If those are growing the trout lily and trilliums can't be so very far behind. So many memories. Thank you.
I LOVED watching you two! Remembering so many precious times with your Mom, my same birthday friend. You are both incredibly talented AND fun to watch! I love you both!
Thank you for this! As a plant hoarder, I no longer feel so crazy for having so many surfaces cluttered with plants. I have tons of orchids blooming in every room right now. I love your sepia prints, oil paintings , herbs and the myriad of lovely things!
When I was a little kid we would get transfer ware at the A&P...my grandmother had a whole set twice over. I don't have any of that. Although I do have some wonderful things. But yours reminds me of her and our treks to the A&P.
This is one of my favorite videos of yours. I like seeing your mom (does she have her own channel? She should) and I love how you style your house with things you love. I'm so tired of what is being called "farmhouse" these days. It's just all the same stuff--grays, whites, blacks. Boring. You've inspired me to go vintage, because that's truly what I love.
Hi, Angela. This is Jalika. Thank you for this lovely video. It was so family oriented, lovely and awesome. You and your mom, look so happy and like best friends. You out did yourself, Angela. I love your whole house. You and your husband and children did such a wonderful job. I, love your house. God bless you all. Have a happy summer.
Wow! What a beautiful home. It makes a refreshing change to see a home like this to the usual TH-cam homes. Your French farmhouse is a real credit to you : )
Me too. If I see one more house in blush, pink, grey, white, black and/or green or gold for a pop of color...I will scream. It is not Scandinavia everywhere. I think homes need personal touches and not home goods or a store like that all over
Oh my goodness I am so in love with your home. I am so happy your channel was recommended to me. Ur home is so cozy and peaceful. I can’t wait to see your stone window and all the new blooms. I want to change my home now to a vintage cottage !!!! Your mom is so lovely and ur relationship with her is so beautiful. I wish your family many many blessings and I can’t wait to see the rest of your videos.
OMG, this is the best video..I am laughing out loud at your mother....she is a total piece of work and I just love her...I think I am going to binge watch you today..."Hello pot, I'm kettle"...that is hilarious...great channel...
i would have polked your eyes out to get the little french and petite-point footstool. so many nice ideas, and i love the animal---sheep, etc---figurines. we have a very similar eye.
Oh, man. Please do a video on your relationship with your mum and how it was being raised by such a great woman. I feel like it's so hard nowadays to know how to be a good mother and not to lose your kids in this busy world.
It was so sweet to see your children waving and telling your Momma hi , but when your jumped up to hug her i cried ! My Mom and Dad have passed now but i think of them everyday . My parents had big beautiful lovely gardens and i know thats why i garden . It takes me back to that special oh so special place as a child that i enjoyed seeing food grow and learned so very much from them.Thank you for being nurturing parents and enjoy being a daughter as much and as often as you can !
Omg! Your mom is awesome! And she drives that great big truck? My mom can’t even navigate a golf cart! I so Love how you display your beautiful dishes. I have such a weakness for pretty china and cups/plates/ etc. You have inspired me to update my arrangement! 🌸
Love what a Romantic you are and how hard you have worked to create a dreamy world for your family. As a fun aside, and as a big English mystery fan, loved your shepherd and shepherdess lamps on the mantle, which were the key clue in Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple book “A Murder is Announced”. What fun! 👏❤️
Love your French farmhouse home brings me so many memories when I grew up to my parents to my family who had this style that is probably why I love it and I love thrifting as well so happy o see you with your mom I lost mine when I was 12yrs old and to this day I wish I had the furniture and all her decors May God bless you and your family😌😌😌😌
I'm excited to see your projects come to fruition. Like you, I love reusing what we have around the house and going to thrift stores. I love the nostalgia that comes with each find; however, I love buying Dollar Tree items too making them into something nice and functional without breaking the bank. I guess finding a happy balance is key. Thanks for the tour. Your mom is so sweet. I miss my bonding time with mine. Enjoy your time together! Hugs~ Josie :)
How wonderful that a mother and daughter have so much fun together.. me and my daughter have nothing in common ... 😙it was nice to see that there is mother and daughter like to do thinks together. Hope you and your family have a great spring..🏘🏪🏤
It's so sweet and exciting and fun to hear you talk about your Mom that way and that your children are excited too! I do enjoy the time I spend with my daughter. It's easy to dismiss parent and be indifferent and non-chalante. As a Mom in my late fifties it's important to me to have a relationship with my grandson. Summer before last we had Gramma Camp and we did something almost everyday after the school year where I took him to the bus stop or school almost everyday. I hope we can have an eventful Summer this year. Now ironically he lives in WI during the school year. This is the 2nd or 3rd video of yours I've seen. Your house is very romantic! I've been thinking about jewelry boxes lately to conceal the jewelry I've worn to church and has laid there for two weeks.
I LOVED this! Loved seeing your mom and seeing the great relationship you have with her as I do with my 4 daughters. and thanks for the recipe for the Spring blend.
Oh I loved watching this with my cuppa this am!! I wish you could come visit me and go thrifting together ( bring your whole family)!! It's just turning spring today,, I watch my two grand littles Monday and Wednesday and they seem to adore this gigi like your children relate to their Gramma!! I travel to Colorado to see my twins grand babes that are 15 months old and look forward to spending time loving on them and thrifting , sipping red wine and eating carbs(she's a wonderful bread baker) with my DIL!!!Have a blessed week and thanks for sharing your home and love of momma with us!!!
I've been waiting for this all week and it was well worth the wait! I felt like I was watching a movie I didn't want to end. Your home is gorgeous Angie. I am assuming your mother was into thrifting as you were growing up and had the same taste in decor as you? You look like your mother very much. Your decor and your love for gardening, and your cooking and baking skills has inspired me so much. Can't wait until the next episode. Is ther a video you've done that talks about your connection with France. It would be so interesting for me.
Gail Ann mom was always a big decorator but the Euro influence is my own. She was an amazing “country” decorator when I was young. The best primaries. French and England were more my style after traveling though. Mom has always been Into antiques. She, like I, was raised in them. She refinished her first dresser in junior high.
I am a new subscriber and I am HOOKED! You have inspired me to be me in my decorating! My sister is more in to very high-end design and everything’s is very perfect. absolutely perfect. But I am French Country with some rooms a little more French Chateau. She had me putting things away and being more minimalist but it’s just not me. So thanks to you, I have spent the past two weeks pulling out all my favorite things and it is SO pretty and cozy and my kitchen looks fabulous! I love your family and I look forward to every new episode. God bless you!
Well THANK YOU! I'll NEVER be a minimalist. Life has too much beauty to shove it all away. Old dusty books, crusty oil paintings, keepsake linens. Give me MORE! I hope you'll join us for this evening's episode. We air every Sunday night at 8pm unless I post otherwise on the community board. Thanks SO much for taking the time to comment. God bless.
I am sure someone has already commented, but if not, the little blue flowers are Pushkinias or Striped Squill. They multiple like crazy - in a beautiful way - one of the first harbingers of spring.
Just found your channel! I'm obsessed with it! Love love love! We homeschool too. I would love to hear more about what inspired your love of French Decor and all things French :) Have you been to France? I haven't but would love to go someday. We love Laura Ingalls too. I took my oldest daughter for her 16th birthday to visit one of her homes. I would also love to see more videos about what made you all decide to homeschool. So sweet how much you love your mom. We live right next door to my mom and I love it! She and I go thrifting quite a bit. She is who instilled my love of antiques, vintage and decorating. I would also be interested in a video of the you tubers you enjoy (especially on decor or homeschooling) and or magazines etc. Looking forward to more of your videos!
I love that your mom drives a Ram truck! And you guys look more like sisters than mom/daughter! She's funny "you're keeping the shops in Door County in business!"
your home is so beautiful with all the vintage things makes it so cozy. I collect old letters from way back. The one letter I love is a Doctor wrote his cousin & said he walked a girl home & kissed her,the next sentece he said, but do not tell Mother. Oh when I read that i thought if he only knew now how the people are . I have a lot where the parents would write their children during the great depression & tell each other how they were doing. Your Mom & you are so fun together. Does your husband share your love of what you do to the home & the outside as well? I love to go to shops & see what they have from way back I have pieces as well. Thank you for sharing your home on video have a lovely evening ( Judy )
I thoroughly enjoyed this, we need more of you. I would like to see you out thrifting where do you find all those paintings and also the other french decor. I don't know how you do all you do with six children.
Mom is adorable! She must be so proud of you!
So awesome to spend time with your mom. Cherish it, it is gone before you know. Big hugs to all.
Oh my gosh I just realized who your mom is . This brought me to tears you guys hugging and the kids waiting for her at the end of the driveway that was so special
What I love about French decor is they embrace pieces that show wear and age and are far from perfect. The pieces add so much life to a home.
Your Mom is beautiful.I miss my Mom..Your house is beautiful and I loved your children waiting for Grandma, good job girl!
I have loved French country since my late 20’s, now 66 and my plans never came to life.

What fun! 👏❤️

l love your Copper sink!
I was wondering if the curvy side of the sink well should be closest to you? Just wondering ☺
your home is so beautiful with all the vintage things makes it so cozy.
