amazing! world needs more artists like this today. fucking pop, r&b, hip hop and even coutry seem to rule supreme these days almost to the point where rock and blues are just a thing of the past. it makes me sick listening to the crap on the radio.
Gary Clark Jr, fantastic talent, plays with a lot of feeling, and has an excellent voice too. I was reading a prior comment how he plays an Epiphone, and they claimed, it's the player not the gear which I do agree with. But make no doubt, Epiphone makes terrific guitars, and their prices are excellent. It's one of the few companies out there, that you get great bang for the buck. He also plays Gibson's and Fender's.
I appreciate his work a lot and I think he's extremely talented. However to compare him to jimi is absurd. NOBODY can ever be compared to jimi Hendrix except for maybe SRV. Again Gary is awesome, but will never be on the level Hendrix was/is.
this isn't the only vid I've seen of him so fuck you. It's my opinion that he needs better solo skills to become the best blues artist he can be. He has the voice, look, fair enough songwriting, and some decent creative ideas. Can't solo well enough though.
+TheTNKProductionTeam I'd like to enjoy but, I don't. I don't settle on good artists because, of a lack of such modernly. I'm drawn to great artists because, they stand out. Fuck you bitch, I have my opinion and you have yours. It just so happens that you have the support of a mob.
Love this man. Better than a warm bath, glass of wine.!
Makes me want to dance.
Wonderful voice!!¡!
Every time i listen to the solo i feel a sense of hope , its gorgeous.
Great phrasing and vibrato. It's rare these days for a blues player to sound unlike every other blues player but he definitely does.
Gary Clark Jr. + Epi = Top Blues
Whew. So much emotion. Love it. Shed a tear watching him. Wow. He definitely puts his all into it.
Love his voice, love his guitar playing!
Me saco el sombrero... una y mil veces al escuchar esta interpretación
Gary Clark is de beste ooit, wat mij betreft
Zijn bandleden verdienen ook een compliment.
Gary is soms onnavolgbaar.
Brutus van de Kracht
I love the space in his phrasing...let’s it breathe awesome!
Truly Amazing!!!!
Great touch and tone
Can listen to this all day. You amaze me!
Amazing performance...... goddamn.
Fantásticooooo!!! Performance sensacional!!! Solo de responsa... Feeling total!!!

Fucking broke a string
GCJ is BEAST!
I was there at this free show. A year later he sold out Madison Square Garden. My jaw was on the floor the whole time.
Dude is so talented. i was wanting to go see him this year and tickets START at $175. Missed my chance at the Shell. Dude

Beutiful
and this here is theeee AMERICAN blues Kids
tocar con las tripas y el corazon, se llama esto
yeah man
Rocked so hard he broke a string and still continued to kill it haha
Broke string...didn't skip a beat
QUE FEELLING DO CARAIOO *--*
Notice how he's playing an Epiphone. Goes to show that it's the player and not the gear.
that an elitist casino
epi is legit
Epiphone was founded before Gibson, I believe. As a player it's more a matter of skill and what's most comfortable in your hands
3:35 torn string...
4:10 - 4:40 ------ I Love it !_
Plays guitar like Hendrix, sings like Jeff Buckley, how in the fuck is this beautiful man not more famous
+Christian Hollis You said bruh!
+Cintia Tavares it's really a shame on how many kids my age are misinformed on what music really is, this should be the mainstream
Christian Hollis what the hell do you mean like Hendrix? Not even close to the same style
alguem sabe o nome dessa musica que ele toca?
Please Come Home from Blak and Blu
Absolutely ripping with a $600 guitar. You don't need fancy gear to kill it folks
That's an Elitist Casino I believe. Still not crazy expensive but around $2500
100 bucks
@@madcat5965 yep, friend has the exact same one, good looking, beautiful sounding
Anyone know the name of this song he plays?
Here for the best part of the song? Let me help you out. 0:00
What song is this
Most guitar players I know (and even me) has broke a string playing and kept playing. Not putting him down. But that is no big deal
Whats the name of the song?
Please Come Home
The drummer is getting sleepy..
destiny!
I appreciate his work a lot and I think he's extremely talented. However to compare him to jimi is absurd. NOBODY can ever be compared to jimi Hendrix except for maybe SRV. Again Gary is awesome, but will never be on the level Hendrix was/is.
never say never ;) one day he could well be the best guitarist on the planet
What's your take on jimmy page?
We all know that, he just has the same style. He lets his guitar sing, thats a rare talent
shoot man every time that happens to me guitar goes whack ass out of tune. His went a little but not bad. Also I suck at guitar
everybody relax, just because hes black and plays guitar doesnt mean "he sounds just like hendrix omg!!!"
Why not bastard
I smell a boy who knows not skill.
Didn't say he wasn't skilled, i'm a huge fan of Gary....but he's not Jimi Hendrix
no one sounds "just like" hendrix
nobody sounds like Jimi and nobody sounds like Gary, nobody sounds like anyone
*first string
whatever, you know it all
1st string...
lol. for a non guitarplayer its the 6th. logic and understandable mistake ;)
he did so much better in portugal
Great player , I love Gary, but poor solo guitar effects here
He's lacking in solo skills. Should focus more on substance
Stfu he lost a string halfway
this isn't the only vid I've seen of him so fuck you. It's my opinion that he needs better solo skills to become the best blues artist he can be. He has the voice, look, fair enough songwriting, and some decent creative ideas. Can't solo well enough though.
Two Joshua Lessore's? Color me disenchanted
