It’s so cute how giddy he is meeting his mom 🥹🥹 also kudos to Minato for giving Kushina more time with Naruto than he did, feels like he wanted to make sure Naruto got to know her and spend time with her ❤
To this day, this remains one of the most heartfelt and touching moments in all of anime for me. For years, I wanted nothing more than for Naruto to meet his parents and to learn who they were. While Naruto meeting his father was brief, but such a powerful moment, Naruto meeting his mother was perhaps the most intense rollercoaster of emotion I've ever experienced in anime. The moment right before Naruto embraces Kushina in a hug that's been 16 years in the making, when his hands are shaking, and his lips are quivering, and you know that at any minute he could start balling like a little child, the simple fact that he grabs his mother in a hug that he's been waiting for for years makes me want to cry. And then it transitions into Naruto both learning to control the monster that's been tormenting his life for 16 years, and the story of what really happened on that faithful night 16 years ago, when Minato and Kushina gave their lives to save their village and save their newborn child. I would honestly say that if any moment in Naruto was the most defining, this was it, because Naruto got to learn who his parents were and what they did to make sure both he and the Leaf Village survived.
To make this worse. She's not actually much older than he is. At least when she died. She's about 21 when she died and Naruto is 16 in this scene. 16 year old that's never known his parents, learning about his parents. Imagine stop there.
The three words Naruto never heard before: I love you. This episode is so powerful it makes a grown man like me cry. Cherish your moms, you only get one.
Id have to say this is definitely one of those times that the dub is the version id perfer any day, its was done perfectly to match the characters from narutos turning back to being the kid he is and his mom sounding like a true mom, the emotions were captured perfectly
naruto never met his parents. he had no faces, experiences or love to attach his feelings for them to. obviously naruto didnt hate minato but it is completely normal to divide the mixed feelings of loneliness, hate, hope, and love between his mother and father. when naruto saw minato, he saw himself, and he could never imagine putting the nine tails in his own son or leaving him behind so his heart turned to anger. but when naruto finds out hes talking to his mother all he can imagine is love, the is the one thing he always wanted but thought he could never have for 99% of his life, and he didn’t hesitate as soon as it was in front of him.
Um who was the one who locked 9 tails in naruto? But yeah I see how you’d think he’d be mad at Kushina too for all he would’ve guessed that she would’ve been the one who suggested to lock the 9 Tails in him
Dads typically make the harder choices, and the result of those choices gave Naruto an incredibly hard life he didn't ask for. He even admits himself he's not sure if he should be happy or mad, but that anger was getting on for a while. Minato is a good man for being able to take it in stride.
Okay in all fairness Naruto only knew the fourth hokage sealed kurama inside him. He felt resentful of all the pain and suffering he dealt with for over 16 years. But Naruto has always wanted to meet his mother and father he just felt anger towards Minato initially due to nine tails being sealed inside him
Fact: Kushina was voiced by Laura Bailey. Aka Maka albarn from soul eater, sarada in the ultimate ninja storm, haribel from bleach, and tobru Honda from fruits basket.
Naruto may have just been a baby but the baby naruto still saw his parents fate I know naruto isn’t the most intelligent but I think even babies can remember things
Yeah, but at the same time, it would've been amazing for Naruto to declare himself the Hidden Leaf Village's Number One Hyperactive Knuckle-Head Orange Hokage. It would symbolize a name he was given as a kid, but then became his official title as a homage to both his past and present.
Sasuke would never understand what loniness was like he didn’t hav anger built up and h didn’t los his parents unlike naruto so it understandable there’s things sasuke shouldn’t have said to naruto it doesn’t matter what sasuke went through being alone is worst then then having hatred trapped inside you
Are you dumb ? Sasuke was literally the only one left alive after itachi killed off the entire uchiha clan & became a literal criminal in the ninja world. Naruto & Sasuke literally share the same loneliness & it’s made very clear in the first 3 episodes of the show
Come to think of it its interesting that Boruto or himawari didnt have red hair themselves, i nean sure genetics are genetics but it would've been nice to see
Naruto had no parent sure but for sasuke to be so mean to naruto and say what do you know what I went through um naruto was alone all those years way before sasuke lost his parents so that was irrelevant
They’re both right in not understanding each others pain. Sasuke lost everything he loved, but he has no idea what it feels like to never have anyone at all. As for Naruto, it wasn’t until the Pain arc that he finally understood how Sasuke felt

Well spoken 👏
Yup

Yeah dude the lip quivers and shaking of his hands sends me into a wave of emotions, the tears never fail to fall
Same here
Naruto meeting Minato =
Instantly throwing hands 🤬
Naruto meeting Kushina = Mommy?? 😢
Also gets bonked
When I saw my boy crying, I was crying.
I’m a simple creature
For sure
We crode 😅
This whole sequence rips me apart I love how proud of him she is. "Naruto that's so cool ya know!"
The three words Naruto never heard before: I love you. This episode is so powerful it makes a grown man like me cry. Cherish your moms, you only get one.
I purposely opened TH-cam and searched for this scene all to make myself cry. I have problems. I love this show so much
I don’t know why but every time I hear her say “shame on him” just breaks my heart
SAME
Seeing Naruto so happy is wholesome
Narutos hands and mouth trembling.....gets me every time 😢
this scene always makes me cry😭
“Shame on him!” The way her va says it just 😫😭😭😭
I love Naruto Uzumaki & Kushina Uzumaki to see eye to eye as mother & son bond for first time this is one of my favorite scene in this show
Red and yellow makes a orange hokage
I havnt seen my moms since I was 5 and I’m 26 now… I watched Naruto for the 1st time last year… This scene hit home really hard…
Id have to say this is definitely one of those times that the dub is the version id perfer any day, its was done perfectly to match the characters from narutos turning back to being the kid he is and his mom sounding like a true mom, the emotions were captured perfectly
"there's no doubt that you are my child ❤️ hits different 😊
Always makes me cry ❤😢
This is one of the most emotional moments I,ve ever seen in Naruto
I love her laugh
I cry every time I watch this scene
0:56 this part is different from the other parts to!!!
so, dad gets a punch to the gut while mom gets a hug? it certainly sounds fair to me.
naruto never met his parents. he had no faces, experiences or love to attach his feelings for them to. obviously naruto didnt hate minato but it is completely normal to divide the mixed feelings of loneliness, hate, hope, and love between his mother and father. when naruto saw minato, he saw himself, and he could never imagine putting the nine tails in his own son or leaving him behind so his heart turned to anger. but when naruto finds out hes talking to his mother all he can imagine is love, the is the one thing he always wanted but thought he could never have for 99% of his life, and he didn’t hesitate as soon as it was in front of him.
To be fair all Naruto knew was that the 4th Hokage locked Kurama within him, so his first instinct aside from shock was probably rage
Um who was the one who locked 9 tails in naruto?
But yeah I see how you’d think he’d be mad at Kushina too for all he would’ve guessed that she would’ve been the one who suggested to lock the 9 Tails in him

It is both beautiful and heartbreaking moment when Naruto meets Kushina
If kushina is still alive, she would be in 37, then if she is alive in Boruto, she would be somewhere at 53 years old.
Man this scene always makes me cry
Fact: Kushina was voiced by Laura Bailey. Aka Maka albarn from soul eater, sarada in the ultimate ninja storm, haribel from bleach, and tobru Honda from fruits basket.
Now i know why shikamaru and kiba always say mom can be really scary.😊
The part when he hugs Kushina will always make me tear up
Naruto may have just been a baby but the baby naruto still saw his parents fate I know naruto isn’t the most intelligent but I think even babies can remember things
Nope
I bet Kushina gave the 3rd Hokage a beating after she found out what he did to Naruto
I bet Minato did since he told 3rd to take care of his son.
The you're the nine tails true form line always makes me laugh. then immediately getting smacked in the head by his own mom 😂
1:43 I wanted to meet you for so long now, mom, you know.
Having a mother who ran off when I was a kid this hits me where I live
makes sense cause red and and yellow makes orange
Yeah, but at the same time, it would've been amazing for Naruto to declare himself the Hidden Leaf Village's Number One Hyperactive Knuckle-Head Orange Hokage. It would symbolize a name he was given as a kid, but then became his official title as a homage to both his past and present.
Not just that but the guy who made naruto is a fan of Akira toriyama, goku's shirt and pants are orange or something a like
All sons get their mom's quirks. We just take it in stride.
I wasn't able to stop my tears
This scene all makes me so giddy
Sasuke would never understand what loniness was like he didn’t hav anger built up and h didn’t los his parents unlike naruto so it understandable there’s things sasuke shouldn’t have said to naruto it doesn’t matter what sasuke went through being alone is worst then then having hatred trapped inside you

Uh have you seen any of naruto?
Sasuke and Naruto are much alike except Sasuke Met his parents at a young age Naruto didn’t .
Sasuke literally lost his parents and entire Clan by the hands of the person he loved the most, Itachi. Sasuke had it much worse
Mother meets Son
Come to think of it its interesting that Boruto or himawari didnt have red hair themselves, i nean sure genetics are genetics but it would've been nice to see
🎵But I would not give you false hope... 🎵On this strange and mournful day...🎵When the Mother and Child reunion...🎵Is only a motion away.🎵
Naruto could have turned evil just like sasuke but didn’t
it was so cute
Kushina was the most powerful character in the Shippuden-verse 😂
Gosh imagine how many times Naruto would’ve been one of them smashed tomatoes if she was still alive 💀
What if Kushina said the 2 magic words that i m thinking about instead of i love u i think naruto would still accept them😂
Naruto had no parent sure but for sasuke to be so mean to naruto and say what do you know what I went through um naruto was alone all those years way before sasuke lost his parents so that was irrelevant
They’re both right in not understanding each others pain. Sasuke lost everything he loved, but he has no idea what it feels like to never have anyone at all. As for Naruto, it wasn’t until the Pain arc that he finally understood how Sasuke felt
