    If you want a radial root pattern try a narrow but tall pot and place a round piece of plastic underneath the plant. That way the plant can’t grow any roots straight down, instead the roots have to grow to the sides and only then they can grow straight down, but they’ll be easy to cut.

    I have just planted bougainvillea cutting. Now where should I place the pot...in partial sunlight or in the shade? Also do I need to water them daily?

    • @BonsaiTricksAndaLotMore_ayan
      @BonsaiTricksAndaLotMore_ayan  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No don't water them daily. Water only when the upper surface feels dry. Keep in semi shade. Partial morning sunshine is good. But keep in mind that somtime Bougainville needs upto 4-5 months to root. So be patient. Thanks

    i have2 hibiscus plants. in 2 plants all the leaves sheded off after repoting.but now the leaves are coming out, and the process is very slow in one plant. In other plant leaves are coming but not developing into big leaves and the leaves are becoming yellow in small size and falling off.pls suggest me what to do.

    • @BonsaiTricksAndaLotMore_ayan
      @BonsaiTricksAndaLotMore_ayan  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The plant which growing leaves slowly is more healthy than other. It has better chance to survive. I think the other plant has root rotted. Don't overwater it. Keep your soil moist not wet. And keep in semi shade. It is quite normal for plants to shade off all leaves after repotting.

      I have 4-5 lemon and orange plants in planters, all growing from seeds. They look healthy and green with good foliage. It's been 4-5 years now and I am yet to see them flower. How long will they take to mature? Do I need to do something extra? I fertilize them sparely (3-4 times a year) and other times I simply add coffee grounds or egg shells. But nothing very strong. TH-cam videos have grafted plants that flower and fruit easily so they are not of much help to me. Let me know if you have ever tried growing lemons / oranges this way and what was your result.

      It depends on the plant and climate.But the perticular and is " just before starting of growing season" that means if spring is growing season then ideal Repotting time would be late winter.you should change your soil once in every year.Tomorrw I am going to upload a video on Repotting tomorrow for you.

      +orchid smile bougainvillea can be rooted easily. Best time is during rainy season. But it could be rooted any time of year except hot Summer. Bougainville needs very long time to root so be patient.I have one bougainvillea that needed 2-3 months to root.Remember one think use a well draining bonsai soil and do no fertilize till 2 and new growth.
