Thanks for sharing, just working on the same steering rack and torsion bushings, plus the rear suspension is ready to get overhauled at 230k. Helped me to see how easy the steering rack comes out, have you ever adjusted the steering rack play with the adjuster bolt?
Btw for the torsion bar bushing (cup) there is a nice polyethylene aftermarket kit available from superpro, I just replaced my doorman bushings after 40k miles and put these in instead

I had the icarsoft MB3 scanner, but ended up buying the STAR C3 system instead. It's way more valuable with being able to code stuff and read modules. I cloned the drive some sellers supply and run it in it's own VM on Hyper-V on my laptop. That way the sketchy software stays isolated.
