The only things he used in his last run was yellow sweet corn, yellow corn malt and sugar and water.

The problem is you guys will never be able to get the same type of corn and wheat he did. Everything planted now is modified on a genetic level to produce higher yields and take less nutrients to do it. So the stuff you get today is going to break down and combine different. So your end result will be close if you figure out the ratios you are chasing the unattainable.

Why does everyone in this show just make sugar washes with grain in it.... I know U guys know how to use malted barley or another malt to convert the starches into sugar ...u also know about amalayze....
So why the sugar washes? Don't get me wrong, I love the show, but I know allot of U guys know how to do it without resorting to sugar

My in-laws live in Western NC, and I've had Sutton's moonshine before he died, and trust me, it's HORRIBLE, I don't care what these guys say, it's just for TV... The only reason people want it is because of the name. Any first-time moonshiner with a basic recipe he can get off the internet and a halfway understanding of how to get a hearts cut can make moonshine that is ten times better than his.

If it's just the bite, I get it, no problem. But Popcorn didn't separate his heads, hearts, and tails, at least not in what I had. That's a problem. It tasted like a wet dog that's been eating corn soaked in acetone.
