at 10:39 I definitely didn't see Nd5 (possibly because Jesse played the move very quickly though I can't guarantee that I would've seen the move even after looking at the board for a while) but after it got played I saw the trick and thought "that's genius". Good job to PrimalPotato for seeing that!
Program sounds great! I definitely like the idea of having more structure in my chess development. Plus a community for people to compete with is great as well.
I found multiple answers to the problem coach :) I even turned my mate in 2 into a mate in 3 lol this is the sexier checkmate but not the easiest to see lol I played Qf2 and went from there but also had Ideas of Qe1, Qe4.
Hey are you going to continue this up to say 1600? I'm currently 1290 so I'm pretty close to 1300 and I'd like to get to 1600 by the end of this year if possible
Hey there, strongly considering joining the program, is there ever any one on one feedback to the program levels? Not like a full blown lesson per se, but some element?
Yes all participants are forced to give one on one feedback to those they compete with in their bracket and to players in lower brackets. So in a sense everyone gets free coaching but in return also has to do coaching. So it’s like a volunteer coach trading program which is one of the biggest values of this whole system IMO
Loving the program so far--it's great having a group of people working toward the same goal. Never been part of a community like that before.
This is really great stuff. I'm in the 1400-1500 bracket, but your explanation of primalpotato's game gave me some ideas about holes in my own game!
This video was so encouraging and informative. Thanks, Jesse!
