    I know this is older but I’ve always used Wedge Sharpie Marker black 2 coats 100% power 150 speed 1 pass worked on everything I’ve used it on. Sculpfun S9 focus is critical.

    One alternative to a laser for etching materials would be the Brother Scan N Cut SDX machines paired with one of two aftermarket Engraving tools by either Chomas or Zoom. There are TH-cam videos about these with the best settings to use.

    Great video. A bit discouraging that it didnt work on the aluminum. I bought an engraver for this purpose.

      It might work with a better spray. I have seen that it works with the colored aluminum.

    why would you say it wont etch metal? my diode laser etches stainless steel just fine. im wondering if it will do brass.

    Are you able to try the metal business cards with the ortur 20watt laser???

    • @KLRform
      @KLRform  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If they are the coated ones it will work to burn off the coating. I have not been able to mark aluminum yet. Maybe a better spray would work.

    You may have a weak laser 15w out put is max thats with 2 7.5 watt diode lasers.the system you bought is probably a 5.5 watt laser output or a single 7.5 watt.try a 10 watt laser they run about $300 but are much better than the stock machine.

    • @KLRform
      @KLRform  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes we have the 20Watt model that is a 5.5 watt output.

    • @Fm-ss4uj
      @Fm-ss4uj 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KLRform when you change the laser and add a air cooler your gonna be killing it.The 5.5w isn't preferred to do stainless steal or aluminum like in the video but the 10w your gonna crank them out easily everytime.Best of luck to your business and your future.

    They do not make a 20w laser. They are 10w optical power out.

    • @KLRform
      @KLRform  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes the models are sold and labeled based on the input wattage. Ours is the 20w model. That works out to 5.5 watts output.
