Her voicetype is "dramatic contra alto" which is very rare. She has a way of switching on polyphonic overtones, or perhaps undertones, adding an earthy richness to her voice. Cher is one of the other rare women with this voice type. But IMO, Diana here is leagues beyond cher's "talent"
Diana's voice is unique in this world, she can do absolutely anything others can do but she can also do things that no one else can, and no this is not a hyperbole at all.
You were impressed by her lows but this is her natural register, she is a Contralto, even more so a Dramatic Contralto, one of the few of this world, the owner of the lowest, darkest most powerful female voice but this is not where the surprises end with her, she is also polyphonic meaning she can manipulate her overtones to produce a multiple voice effect that make people believe that her voice is touched digitally but it is all her.
Also she has a huge range, her lows are a given but wait till you hear her go really high, Sopranos got nothing next to her.
Dimash is an amazing singer, perhaps the best in the world, but Diana is a monster of a vocalist and a hell of a performer, you have never heard anything close to the things she can do, i go ahead and say that she is EASILY the best female vocalist in the world right now.
This vocal competition for children with difficult past (aka Orphans) was not where she started her musical career, she had won over 50 vocal competitions both nationally and internationally before that, but this is where she started taking of, her videos from this show amassed close to 1 billion views before the channel that hosted them was off TH-cam.

For me this is the best voice I have ever heard. I cannot stop listening to her since I first heard her voice and never grow tired of it. She is remarkable and a very down to earth and charming young woman. She is a breath of fresh air on many levels. A true treasure in the performing arts world. You have just scratched the surface with Diana. P.S. Look into her story on Wikipedia and you can see how much she his been through and overcome already in her young life.

Greetings from Scotland! So, this was 15yo Diana singing in an amazing Russian project "You're Super" for abandoned/disadvantaged children because Diana spent some years in an orphanage when she was 3yo.
Diana is a "Dramatic Contralto" Extremely rare, the deepest, darkest, and most powerful contralto voice in female singers. Diana also has an added ability to naturally produce "Polyphonic Overtones", a singing technique in which the vocalist manipulates the resonances of the vocal tract to produce an effect of more than one voice appearing to occur. This can take a LOT of practise to produce, but for Diana it just happens naturally!
Diana was born way over in the far eastern side of Russia in Primorsky Territory, northeast of Vladivostok. Her adoptive family moved to Togliatti, in western Russia near the Volga River then after Igor Krutoy (a famous (DIMASH?) composer/producer) gifted Diana an apartment in Moscow she moved there and still lives there! It made it easier for her to study at GITIS International, the largest and oldest theatrical State Institution in Russia from which she has now graduated. She has an extensive entry in Wikipedia now which explains her sad but very inspirational early childhood.
She is now 21yo and she has already sung in *8 languages, Russian, English, French, Spanish, German, Ukrainian, Tatar and Arabic!!!(Unofficially she has also sung in an alien language "Galach" from the film "DUNE")*

👉 Diana's rendition of this song is unique and amazing. She has something primal, mystical, but also sensitive and sensual in her voice and she lives her songs. She also has a perfect pitch and her sense of rhythm was exceptional even as a little girl. Diana is a dramatic contralto, the rarest and lowest female voice type (her general range is C3-C7, the main working C3-C6) and her voice sometimes has polyphonic overtones. In 2019 Diana sang this song in the singing competition 'You are super' (she was 15 years old). This competition is unique in the world, an international TV- competition, especially for adopted and orphaned children.
In 2018 and 2019 Diana entered this unique competition and won twice.
The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote and the final took place in the Kremlin Palace and her videos were uploaded to TH-cam and soon she had millions of fans. She called us Friends.
The project producers help the finalists start their studies and encourage their creativity. Diana won a scholarship.
Igor Krutoy, here in "You are Super" as a juror, gave Diana a small apartment (37m²/ 398 ft²) in Moscow with the words: Live and sing!
There, in the small flat she lives with her mother and grandmother and was able to begin her vocal training with the best teachers such as Professor Olga Donskoy. (She died of Covid-19 in Oct. 2020). Now she is taught by the great Alexandra Pismennaya, who was a student of Prof. Donskoy.
*Igor Krutoy, *1954 in Ukraine SSR. He lives and works in Moscow/Russia. He is singer, a world- famous composer and music titan in Russia (billionaire). He is also a sponsor and a juror in this competition. His family is in the US now. Krutoy came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash Qudaibergen. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. Krutoy is also still in touch with Diana and he introduced her to Brandon Stone. The result: 1st CD in December 2021 and in June 2022 there was a gold disc.

"Dee-ana An-ku-DEE-no-vah". Most unique singer on the planet. She's 15 (!) here. Recently turned 21. Check out her "cover" (on a Russian TV show) of Presley's "Can't help falling in love". Astounding stuff.
Her life story is likewise remarkable.

I discovered Diana just late last year, from a TH-cam short. Based on the description I was curious, and clicked. And was blown away by her utterly unique voice. I started checking out all the reactions I could find, plus her live and studio performances. She quickly became my favorite female vocalist. There’s simply no one else who sounds like she does.

Diane I was born to an extremely abusive alcoholic mother who beat her and didn’t feed her and at the age of three she was found discarded on the street in the winter. She ended up in a orphanage unfortunately A loving family adopted her at age 5. Diana was so traumatized that she could not speak properly so they decided to give her singing lessons to see if it would help with her speech which it did but they found a amazing talent And the rest is history. Many genres and in many languages, functional 4 octave range, a vast set of techniques including yodel, mind blowing vocal control and of course that gorgeous timbre. Diana's voice is unique; There is no such thing and perhaps there never will be. A dramatic contralto with overtones of high notes at the same time and with a large range from low to high. She sings every song the way she feels. Incredible ear for music since childhood. Sings from opera to rock. Since childhood, he has been using various vocal techniques; Yodel and others. Diana plays the ukulele and piano. She writes her own songs. Diana is only 21 and she is simply a unique person. Some of the songs deserve your attention such YELLOW MOON, CALIFORNIA DREAMIN, PUTTIN OF THE RITZ, MY LOVE, TWIST OF MY SOBRIETY and of course PERSONAL JESUS. Among of all this songs MY LOVE is my favorite.
Diana is a once in a generation voice. Lower than cher or shakira with a much larger range and vocal technique. The self autotune just puts it over the top.
Rechenka and the crow in Russian are some of her best pieces.
She had a horrible experience as a baby and was rescue and overcame. She took singing lessons to learn how to speak after her abuse. What a savant.
