that pretty green caterpillar is called, by gardeners, a tomato horn worm and will devour every single leaf on a tomato plant over night and can get twice the size of that one.

I found every tomato plant I have destroyed yesterday morning. I can confirm it all happened overnight. And it was all done by baby horn worms that I don't think had even hatched the day before.
@@matthewmurrian9584 sorry to hear that. the same happened to me last year. they waste no time. you want to make sure you don't kill wasps, they lay their eggs on the horn worms and when the babies hatch they will eat the worm. they are a tomato plant's friends.
I’ve missed you, but understand the “behind the scenes” necessities! Love all you showed today! I love the little details & viewing the total result! In my opinion, I believe the ceiling looks beautiful! As much work as it is to process the boards, at least you are putting up a finished product & nothing else is required after that. Don’t get stressed. Hope you can find more wood. I recommend shopping & storing what you need to do the kitchen & other bathroom. Later might be more difficult to find & more expensive! I love the bathroom floors and I love the fact that they don't have anything sitting on them. I think I may need to consider a hanging toilet. Glad you guys are back and feeling better.

Well it has finally happened! We are In the process of buying a half acre in Salt Springs Florida. We can’t live there full-time unfortunately because of my husband’s company and all his business being in South Carolina/Georgia. But we are definitely going to get us a little shack built in the future. I’m definitely going down to put fruit trees on the land immediately. We all bought a small RV to place in a local RV park. That way I can come down and work on the land. So happy to be having our Florida dreams happening!

Nice to see the front hall done. Little echoey in there, but looking nice! You'll have to show us it in the late evening/night with the fixture turned on. Those were some wildly-colored caterpillars Belle and Maverick were messing with. I know of those green ones, but the other ones are something else... wonder if she plans on drawing those like she did the beetles hehe.

Wow! The wood walls and ceilings are beautiful. Takes me back to an old farmhouse I grew up in. The wall hung toilet is perfect. Makes the bathroom seem more spacious and talk about easy to clean around. Smart choices!

I think you could find caterpillar at night with a black light, cause they glow. I'm in a gardening club on fb and some gardeners hunt the horn worms at night in their gardens.

I love the clean lines of the toilet and the fact that there is no tank sitting a half inch or less from the wall that can collect dust and all sorts of stuff that cannot easily be cleaned up. Plus the fact that you can just mop right underneath that potty with no issues.

Your joy in finding 2 different kinds of caterpillars comes right through the camera. I love that you not only find your specimens but you identify them and share your knowledge with us. Thank you!
I think you should ask your mom and dad if they'd allow you to create a vlog type channel, of course adult supervised and monitored by your parents, to share your interactions with nature right there in your own backyard. I'd love to see you set up a place to keep your caterpillars and then get updates from you along the way as they build their cocoons and ultimately open up into moths or butterflies.
In this day and age of kids being consumed by video games and the like your channel could inspire other children and maybe some adults to look in their own backyards and learn more about nature.
It's just an idea I wanted to share with you and your parents. May God continue to bless you with your love of all the things He created for us on Earth.

Will you be finishing the roof before winter starts? How long can the covering on the roof last before you need to put the roof shingles on?
I love the look of the wood on the walls. Once it’s done you can admire how beautiful it is and how all your work was worth it.

What a wonderful way Belle and Maverick are adding to their knowledge. The best combination hands on, reference book resource, nurturing the caterpillars through their next stages and then releasing. The commode is a nice style
Great to see you all again; was missing your videos for a bit. The bathroom looks amazing. I LOVE the way your style has that old school feeling, but the modern influence of the fan, toilet and vent look so streamline and sleek within the space. It’s a nice balance of old and new. In regards to the paneling, I imagine it’s incredibly difficult to find decent wood anywhere. No project is ever “on time”. Even when big construction companies build - they’re behind. It’s just the two of you, doing all you can; And that is a major achievement. Don’t give up, keep at it, you can do it!

A house I had probably two houses ago had a access panel not similar size to your media panel that was in a location that was glaring every time you walked by that's all you saw. I hung a picture over it and it just made the whole area look totally different. Your walls are very light so I don't know if it would bother you or not. If it does just remember you can hang something on the wall over it and still have complete access. Also depending on what you hang over it like a tapestry it'll still allow plenty of air flow.

Love the caterpillars too, I used to collect them and had a shelf of big pickle jars with cocoons! It was fun and I learned a lot. Make sure they have plenty of room to straighten their wings when they hatch. ❤️ would love to see the moths one day!

It’s hard every where to get supplies to build.

When I started our remodel a year ago, I bought almost everything I needed to finish the job in a month. Plywood, screws, light fixtures, sinks, faucets, shower, paint and anything in between!! Bought damaged kitchen cabinets,(where it would never be seen), have less than $900.00 in all oak cabinets for entire kitchen. When I started working, removing and replacing floors, I fussed at myself for getting so much stuff I wasn't even close to being ready for!! I had to move everything when I started a new project! Then everything went south but the prices for building materials. I had to sit down and apologize to myself. I joke that I can go back in memory and watch myself zoom to this department, then oh yeah, over to another department and now I can see God's hand on my head and saying, "poor thang ain't got a clue what's fixing to happen so let me guide her". And so thankful He made a way because if He hadn't, we would have never been able to afford our remodel. Hope everyone has a blessed day and weekend!!

I have got to tell you the wood is beautiful and immediately I saw in my minds eye my grandparents home in Mississippi that had a very wide dogtrot down the middle with a high roof and white clapboard siding on the house exterior and part of the house was a log cabin covered sometime after 1850 with the wood inside. The cabin was built about 1834. The other side of the house on the dogtrot was built about 1870 and all the interior walls were painted wood slats like on your walls. The rooms had very tall ceilings and the log side had a loft that eventually was covered up. The door jambs were at least 2 feet deep in the cabin half of the house and the front porch that ran the full width of the house was over 5 foot off the ground. The house was finished off with a metal roof that was painted when it began to rust. A small tanker truck filled with aluminum colored paint would make the rural rounds spraying the metal roofs of houses or barns. Your house is definitely southern! Cool!
