Except he didn’t go from non-verbal to no spelling errors and perfect dictation. The lady even stated that in the beginning she had trouble understanding words he’d type because he would misspell. He gradually improved.
@@charitywilks8927 he didn’t do anything. None of that was him. Even if it were him typing - how did he learn to spell. Kids go to school for YEARS and their spelling doesn’t improve that well, that quickly.

Tell them you love me was a very good and interesting documentary. I think there is a discussion about how we infantilize ppl with disabilities. Do they not also deserve romantic relationships? However like you said the question really is Functional communication does it really work? Was he really communicating? But we wouldn’t know from the documentary. But he also had another lady help him communicate and he was writing papers in college. That’s the only thing that raised doubt for me🤔
