- This is my review of the MT900 2P Trekking tent from Forclaz (Decathlon). I looked at a few different tents but this one ticked all my boxes. In this video I will explain you why I think it is the ultimate bike packing tent.
Yep! This is my tent and I love it!!!
I have this tent in use for some time now for biketouring and I am very satisfied with it.. since now I am trying a little bit more light weight bikepacking I have ordered the Sea to Summit Alto TR1 because it is almost half the weight..but the MT900 2P is great for sure sure!

i prefer the mt500 mesh for warm days, it has a black mesh, you can skip the outer tent on hot days..it costs 120 bucks less and only weight a couple of grams more but you can bring it down to nearly the same packsize.also it seems to be a bit more waterproof

it’s almost 1 kg more and you can use the inner tent stand-alone just as well with the MT 900.
@@ninibur sure, i was struggling hard myself to make a decission between those 2 tents and nearly a kilo more of weight , but what made me buy the mt 500 at the end was not the money or the weight, but the black mesh for discretion on camping sites or wildness , the 900 mesh with its decathlon colors or plain white is eye cathing inside every forrest or camping site. also if im not wrong those colors attract insects more then darker ones.

How and where do you hang the tent on your bike?
