So much to say but Im bad with expressing it with words. My favorite quote is still "You wanted monsters, you got monsters." The Bride Is my favorite! I'm glad the princess was indeed evil because I clocked it from the beginning and even when I was like "Oh maybe she isn't" I still wanted her dead because the team was still set out to kill her. The whole season kept me guessing on what Nina did to get herself locked up since she seemed so innocent. I thought maybe it was a misunderstanding or she did something that was justified in a sense like G.I Robot and Weasel, but in the end she had done NOTHING wrong except exist. And in the end, between the Princess and Nina, Nina wasn't the real monster. I'm really hoping we get more seasons! I think a team up with Frankenstein could be cool too. I loved watching your reactions and reading the comments since I know nothing about the comics myself and it gives me some insight.
Great finale. Only thing I would have wanted more out of this finale was more build up and clues to the Princess actually being the big bad and Frankenstein not immediately being bodied. He has been a force to be reckoned with so far but is swiftly dispatched with a few bullets?
It's smart and makes sense. In a world where superheros are real, superhero comic books are definitely going to be popular and not all of them well be based on real heroes, so hell yeah why not make marvel comics exist in dc and vise versa
I'm so glad they just ended the Princess because I loathe shows that use the same villain and plotline for multiple seasons and they keep escaping and doing the same thing...
I've been thinking that the princess was a vampire or some sort of monster the entire time. And that may still be the case, but I was slightly disappointed that she just "died". Especially since the Clayface thing played out how I expected it to without another twist or wrench thrown in. It didn't help that I saw the Nina death coming, mostly because she was the character that felt the most safe. While I enjoyed most of it, I was somewhat disappointed. It just didn't have the "finale" feel to it for me. P.S. RIP Nina, unless that was Khalis, and they somehow manage to bring her back with his powers. I doubt it though.
When they threw in the "live action" zac efron shot in episode 1, I kind of got my hopes up they would have a splash page, scene or end credits with the commandos in live action this episode to just hook us even more. I know it's possible in the future, but I think that could have shown a true live action tie-in, which might have enticed some people who generally skip the animation only stuff.
I was hoping the post credits scene would be a live-action thing setting up Peacemaker season two. Maybe Waller and Flagg in the hospital, with Khalis healing Flagg. We know he is in Peacemaker season two.
As much as I feel bad about what happened to Nina... Im pretty sure she will be brought back. If not in later seasons of CC, maybe in the upcoming Authority series. I prefered Wildstorm's Stormwatch's Nautika, but when Stormwatch came to DC, Nina cameoed in the new52 version. (Stormwatch is the precurser team to the Authority) Also, the more recent series Waller vs Wildstorm involves her knowing the leader of Stormwatch.
Thanks y’all for sharing your journey and thoughts! I think it was a good kickoff to the universe. Good storytelling overall. But something was missing for me. Still working it out what that was…
@@totalcreativegaming6681 She will definitely come back, maybe thanks to the mummy called Khalis and his magical healing powers. In the comics he healed Nina to the point where she no longer needed the suit to breathe on land.
@@xenoemblem7 Some of his healing powers are still unknown so maybe. Let's not forget that we didn't even saw her intellectual capabilities because Amanda said that she was the smartest of the group.
The ending scene is an ode to the movie - Magnificent seven ! Where only 3 members walk to the sunset! The creature commandos were also made of seven members!
Cardinal Rule of writing a Monster story - *An innocent must be harmed to remind the audience that even though empathetic, a monster is more than just an animal.* In this case, the monster was actually Princess Illana, especially since she played both Task Force M *and* Circe.
2 things: 1- it had to be The Bride to put an end to this princess’ shenanigans, she was getting on my damn nerves 2- we got so caught on the badassery of the other characters that when it came to Nina we understood that some people’s lives and stories are just tragic, sad and they end like that, and that was so real of James Gunn to do 💔 it hurts, but is awesome writing
If you look up the voice actors for the animated characters they definitely drew the characters to resemble the voice actors. I think they probably did that on purpose to make a live action and keep the voices the same.

I think there was no set up because James Gunn didn't thought it would get a season 2, and I agree with Frankenstein.
nah i dont think Frankenstein died yet
I mean the whole "why are supervillains so sexedup all the time" kinda foreshadows it insanely heavy.
@@hanzarilyeah if you saw the after credits he's pretty alive and still as delusional as ever
@@hanzaril I didn’t say he died just dispatched
James Gunn is really one of my favorite writers. Ever since Slither he has continued to impress me.
Sparrow Dropping Soup REALLY is made of the droppings of sparrows and is called the "caviar of the orient". Is made of the droppings found in nests.
So Marvel exists in DC, and DC exists in Marvel (they referenced Superman and Batman before)
This has been established for YEARS
Same is true in the comics
That Ghost rider reference was genius
It's smart and makes sense. In a world where superheros are real, superhero comic books are definitely going to be popular and not all of them well be based on real heroes, so hell yeah why not make marvel comics exist in dc and vise versa
NINA WHYYY!!!!! 😭
I'm so glad they just ended the Princess because I loathe shows that use the same villain and plotline for multiple seasons and they keep escaping and doing the same thing...
I loved this show and the character depth!
makes me happy at how accurately this show has portrayed the cops
Absolutely LOVING this show ! James Knocked it out of the park
Joy Osmanski from DC's Stargirl voices Nina Murzsky's mom. She portrayed Tigress.
Went in not caring about anyone - came out wanting them to be a staple of the universe going forward. Gunn did it again.
Thanks y’all for sharing your journey and thoughts!
I think it was a good kickoff to the universe.
Good storytelling overall. But something was missing for me. Still working it out what that was…
Feel like Waller should know who clayface is
Also the princess signed that paper before she died, wonder if that’ll come back into play
That was a great episode, I wish Frankenstin is also captured and put on the team.
Yay Buffed GI robot!! Nina was only one who was kind hearted, bring her back!
King Shark was voiced by the same guy who voiced Batman in The Brave and Bold cartoon and the Harley Quinn cartoon
while he does a good batman, his stallone impression isn't that great 😄
RIP Nina. At least she’s reunited with her dear old, dad now.
@@totalcreativegaming6681 She will definitely come back, maybe thanks to the mummy called Khalis and his magical healing powers. In the comics he healed Nina to the point where she no longer needed the suit to breathe on land.
And it's sad that G.I is back and Nina is not there anymore.
@@GabrielSantos-pz7mh Can he even heal death?
@@xenoemblem7 Some of his healing powers are still unknown so maybe. Let's not forget that we didn't even saw her intellectual capabilities because Amanda said that she was the smartest of the group.
We got the two monsters from suicide squid in creature commandos
Loved this show. On an unrelated but much sadder note, I hope you guys are staying safe.
Wild that it was 7 episodes.
Not 6, or 8, or 10. Loved it that it told the story and didn’t force perfect episode numbers
This show had the most accurate us police officers
The ghost rider joke got me!😅
The ending scene is an ode to the movie - Magnificent seven ! Where only 3 members walk to the sunset! The creature commandos were also made of seven members!
Love all the references to bludhaven and star city in this episode
Cardinal Rule of writing a Monster story - *An innocent must be harmed to remind the audience that even though empathetic, a monster is more than just an animal.*
In this case, the monster was actually Princess Illana, especially since she played both Task Force M *and* Circe.
Can’t wait for season two
I hope you guys are safe for the wildfires and Coy glad that your safe sorry that your house didn’t make it
Happy New Year reject family🎉🎉
can we apreciate the detail of the scene with dr phos offing the one guard that was smoking and the smoke leaving his nose kuz his mouth was coverd
2 things:
1- it had to be The Bride to put an end to this princess’ shenanigans, she was getting on my damn nerves
2- we got so caught on the badassery of the other characters that when it came to Nina we understood that some people’s lives and stories are just tragic, sad and they end like that, and that was so real of James Gunn to do 💔 it hurts, but is awesome writing
G.I. Robot is back and $&@%ing Built Different!
*HELL YEAH!*
Love from Belgium 🇧🇪 ❤
Love to see coys hometown, star city, get featured(coy is green arrow)
Yellow shirt guy “you’re welcome”
Gunn did highlight how it was being a comic fan as a kid in that Horowitz interview, if I remember correctly.
If you look up the voice actors for the animated characters they definitely drew the characters to resemble the voice actors. I think they probably did that on purpose to make a live action and keep the voices the same.
Here's hoping the commando preparation becomes a social media reel. Hey, Greg, what's the next frontier, Real Rejects OF? You got at least five that could turn a profit! lol...
