Fredrick Zigante is the guitarist playing, and I believe he is playing his Kohno guitar. He has a CD of these pieces in the video along with other Tansman guitar pieces. It is absolutely amazing!!
This is beautiful music, poetic. And well played, with the guitar and orchestra blending together perfectly. I understand why this piece is not very well known, however: for the most well known virtuosi on the guitar, this does not show off their technique (although I can hear that it is not at all easy to play). A bit like Paganini not ever playing Harold in Italy on the viola (piece that he had commissioned from Berlioz).

It's a little different from the tone of piano concertos. It's relaxed.
