The Villages FL News & Construction Update Vol 8: All About Recreation

In this episode of Continuing the Dream, in honor of July being National Park and Recreation Month, Jennifer Parr offers a sneak preview of all the exciting activities on the horizon at our new recreation centers. In the Village of Citrus Grove, Homestead is taking shape and will feature a resort-style family pool, billiards, horseshoes, corn hole, picnic tables, a dog park, a secluded nature park and our very first astronomy observation pads to delight all the stargazers in our community.
Franklin Recreation Center has broken ground and will be the first to bring together two short game golf courses, Mickylee Pitch & Putt and Jubliee Putting Course. The shores of Lake Okahumpka are set to be the future home of boardwalks and pathways for bird watching, plus Richmond Pitch & Putt, a new waterfront restaurant, and so much more. Clarendon and First Responders Recreation Centers are also getting off the ground, Ezell is well underway and a remodel of the Fenney Recreation Center is nearing completion.
Villagers enjoy a healthy, active lifestyle with a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities -- there’s something for everyone, so come out and play!
