- When you see oppressors mock their victims, what is being written for them in return? Allah describes how they plan and He plans, but He also describes how He mocks the wicked. What do these verses mean? And what does that matter to us as believers in this life or the next?

Allhamdullilah I got the opportunity to be there for this khutbah this morning - Omar Suleiman is one of a kind and was my first introduction to Muslim scholars before my shahada, May Allah bless him and continue to inspire the ummah through his words, Allahumma Ameen

Aslm Alykm, welcome to Islam and a blessing to have Sheigh as inspiration. ❤
How difficult the situation is. Before going to bed each night, I dream about how people get there, what inventions can help them, and how I can assist them. I go to sleep with thoughts of how to alleviate their pain. I pray every night, asking God to guide me in reaching out to those in need. I recite Surah Al-Fath (Victory) every day. I've never prayed so much before. O Allah, may You help them soon. Every night, I sleep with the hope that I can find a way to ease their suffering. How can I soothe their pain? I go to bed with these thoughts, asking for God's mercy and compassion.I used to feel deeply saddened for the Uighur Turks, and now, it's the same for these people. May God help those who are oppressed, and may He bring down those who inflict cruelty.

God is never like this. God is never pleased with oppression and what you've done. You've only harmed yourselves. I used to not understand why a certain group is cursed in the Quran. But with your actions, you've confirmed the verses.
He is right. For the last 4 months, these surahs have become a source of comfort. The only thing that gives me peace is the promise of Allah about how he will punish them. Ameen

@@MT-kx2uc because that is what they’re god is based on. Not just ‘Allah’, the god of the Bible too which is the same. If you examine the Quran and the Bible they have similar stories. That doesn’t make it true just one copied off of the next and both are wrong.

My eyes filled with tears when I heard that Allah will not mock his servants who try to do good. Allah is very generous to his servants. And suddenly it made me very grateful to God who always takes care of me and provides for my needs.

This means that afflictions and hardships do not descend of themselves, nor has anyone in the world the power to cause an affliction to descend on anyone he may like by his own authority. All calamities wholly depend on Allah’s leave. He may allow an affliction to descend upon someone or may disallow it. And Allah’s leave in any case is based on one or other wisdom, directed to some ultimate good, which man neither knows, nor can understand.

The 'palestinians' were occupied by Egypt and Jordan from 48-67, there was ZERO calls for a 'palestinian state' from those oppressed and occupied people, Jordan even annexed the West Bank, and Egypt incorporated Gaza into the Egyptian/Syrian confederation. Zero outrage from the 'palestinians' or any country in the Arab world. Why was that?

Subhaan Allah. Allahuakbar. So soothing and comforting Bayaan. Jazakallah sheikh. May Allah elevate the status in ranks of the innocent people of Gazza and Falastein and all the people who have Taqwa of Allah subhaanawataala in their hearts on the day of judgement and may he humiliate and mock at the oppressorss before entire creation, so that we get satisfied and our hearts feel comfort. ALLAHUMMA AAMEEN.
