I don’t know if anyone needs to know this but some deaf people make weird noises when they speak and some stay silent (my mom and dad are deaf so this is how I know this)
PSA since people don't know what Deaf means apparently: Deaf people can't hear, mute people can't talk. Any Deaf person can physically talk (unless they're also mute). It's just that many Deaf people either choose not to speak or didn't want to have speech therapy/didn't have the opportunity to have it. ALSO: Turn on the captions if you don't know sign language.
It still blows my mind that sign language is not universal, meaning that a friend in France can’t understand what little I know in the ASL system. Stupid.

I studied sign language and the brail for 4 years , I have a cousin that is mute so I just did this for him . I just love helping people , you should too.

Yeah, same here. When I first clicked on this video I didn't think to turn on the TH-cam captions, and was a little annoyed that she hadn't added captions to the video herself. Then I was super ashamed of myself because I realized that deaf people have to go through that all the time when they click on videos from people who can hear and didn't bother to add captions to the video, so all they have is the stupid inaccurate auto-generated ones. :/ Makes me realize how easy hearing people have it while trying to watch stuff online.

Even people who aren't deaf have issues with Siri. If you have an accent, which is pretty much most of the UK & Ireland, you're going to have trouble with it. To use Siri effectively, you have to speak perfect English and majority of English speaking people don't speak perfect English due to accents and slangs. Thank you for making this vid. My mom and sister are deaf so I could understand what she was saying without captions. But at some points I couldn’t because I’m fluent in asl and yet they’re very similar they have their differences. I love this video.
I mean, I guess in a way it's like it's own language. It's for the same reason that we don't learn chinese, or portugese in school, or why foreign languages are not mandatory in school (or at least my school). In my school, they do offer clubs in case you may want to learn sign language. I don't know if it's offered in all schools though.

This comes to show how important some of the basic olfactory systems are to our daily lives.. what a champ for her to attempt vocal while deaf. Our voice boxes are basically muscles in the end, in essence, without training they degrade and our body deprioritises them for other parts of our body. I guess with practice she can build her voice into a more perceptible sound but it will require vigorous training.

I mean, I guess in a way it's like it's own language. It's for the same reason that we don't learn chinese, or portugese in school, or why foreign languages are not mandatory in school (or at least my school). In my school, they do offer clubs in case you may want to learn sign language. I don't know if it's offered in all schools though.

being deaf doesn’t seem like a burden for her, so maybe we should treat it as so! :) it doesn’t have to be a disability until we acknowledge it as one. she’s living her life just as happily as we are.

This comes to show how important some of the basic olfactory systems are to our daily lives.. what a champ for her to attempt vocal while deaf. Our voice boxes are basically muscles in the end, in essence, without training they degrade and our body deprioritises them for other parts of our body. I guess with practice she can build her voice into a more perceptible sound but it will require vigorous training.
